Our babies have been keeping cool in the warm weather with lots of water play! 💦☀️

They’ve been exploring cause and effect by scooping and pouring water, as well as rolling balls down tubes of different lengths. And of course, having a good splash too!
They were then kind enough to use their water to give our flowers a much-needed drink!🌸

So much fun, learning, and exploration all in one!

A Well-Deserved Staff Day Out!

At the weekend, the team at Little Robins enjoyed a lovely day in Weymouth to relax and unwind after a busy and rewarding few months. With ice creams, sandy toes, and plenty of laughs, it was the perfect way to celebrate all their hard work together! 💛

What a fun-filled week in Preschool!

We've loved spending time outdoors making magical potions with water, leaves, and petals, painting buzzing bumblebees, serving pretend ice creams, and exploring our numbers. ☀️

We also had a fantastic Drama Tots session, enjoying pom poms, having a go at doing the limbo, and playing some parachute games. 🌈

Learning through play is always lots of fun! 💛

⚽️ Our toddlers have been getting into the football spirit today! ⚽️

The children enjoyed kicking footballs around the garden, practising their balance, coordination and gross motor skills while having lots of fun scoring goals.

Indoors, they took part in a football-themed fine motor activity, using their fingers to move fluffy cotton wool "footballs" around the tuff tray. This helped strengthen the small muscles in their hands and develop finger control ready for future writing.

Our babies have loved making the most of the sunshine this week! ☀️👣

They explored paint with their bare feet and hands, creating colourful marks before splashing in the water tray to wash it all away. They were full of giggles and smiles. 🎨

Later, they experimented with plastic balls in the water tray, dropping them down various tubes and guttering to watch them roll. This fun activity supported their curiosity, hand-eye coordination, and understanding of cause and effect.

A wonderful day of messy, sensory fun! 🩵

The children have enjoyed trying to keep cool this week with water play and spray bottles! We have also been getting creative with painting, and bringing the outdoors in using balancing beams and the parachute.
