Broughton Gifford Preschool is on the site of St Mary's School in the village. We are in an log cabin and have little ones from 2 - 4 years old attending.
We are open term time and are a parent committee run setting and run as a charity.

We are opening tomorrow however we will be following the school and only open from 8am until 3.10pm so no late finishers. Please can we ask anyone due to finish later than 3.10pm collect earlier.
Please can I ask you let us know should you prefer your child not to attend tomorrow as I can then mark them absent on the register thanks.

Wednesday and Thursday closure.
Just to let everyone know the setting will be closed to everyone on both Wednesday and Thursday this week due to the red weather warning that has been put in place. We have followed advice from The White Horse Federation, St Marys Primary School and other local schools and preschools too.
We will be open as normal tomorrow (Tuesday) from 8am until 5pm.
We plan to reopen on Friday as usual depending on further advice from St Marys and the White Horse Federation later this week.

Please ensure your child has a sunhat in setting next week as we have some hot weather predicted.
We will keep the children in the shade as much as we can, we are really lucky to have shaded areas until early afternoon and not forgetting we have the woods too for some cool.
We will apply suncream during the day however please apply suncream to your child each morning prior to their arrival to preschool.
We will have lots of water fun in the heat so feel free to pack your child's swimsuit or plenty of extra tshirts and shorts to enable them to change following wet play.
We don't anticipate any changes to our closing times but do keep an eye on our social media pages and on Tapestry just in case !

We have been invited to the St Mary’s Broughton Gifford CE Primary School sports day tomorrow afternoon for children attending on a Friday only. This is a school event so sadly we do not invite our preschool parents to attend this event however we will take photos and record any races to put onto Tapestry.
Please can we ask that your child has a sun hat in setting tomorrow in readiness for the afternoon and a water bottle. We will apply suncream prior to the event 🤩

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Baby Room Leader to join our growing team. You will lead the baby room, support staff development, ensure high-quality care and learning, and build strong relationships with families.
Requirements:
Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent)
Two years Baby room experience preferred
Previous room leader or senior practitioner experience
Strong knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Baby Room Practitioner
We are looking for enthusiastic Baby Room Practitioners to provide outstanding care and education for children in a nurturing environment.
Requirements:
Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification
Baby room experience essential
Good understanding of EYFS
Passion for supporting children's learning and development
Team-player with excellent communication skills
