🎨 Creativity and academic achievement go hand in hand at Mayfield, and Bea's GCSE results are a wonderful example of this.

Bea achieved two Grade 9s, six Grade 8s and one Grade 7 and will go on to study Art, Psychology and History at A Level.

Bea said: "I'm really happy with my results. I feel that Mayfield has allowed me to be creative in a way I wouldn't be able to be at a different school. Nowhere else does Ceramics."

Success at Mayfield is about more than results alone, and Lily's story is a wonderful example of determination, resilience and ambition.

Achieving 100% GCSE grades at 7-9, including one Grade 9 and six Grade 8s, Lily has balanced academic study with competing at an elite level in netball 🏐

"Mayfield has played such an important part in my journey so far. Throughout my GCSEs, my teachers, particularly Ms Woodfield and Ms Auer, have encouraged me to aim high and supported me in balancing my studies with high-level netball.

During my GCSEs, I was training and playing around five to six times a week, representing London Pulse, Wales U19 and Academy netball club. At times, I would sit a GCSE exam during the day and then travel to play netball that same evening, so balancing both required a huge amount of commitment, organisation and resilience.

I am incredibly proud to have continued pursuing netball at such a high level while achieving GCSE results that I am really happy with, and I am very grateful for the support Mayfield has given me along the way".

👏 Huge congratulations to Annette, who earned an impressive eight Grade 9s and two Grade 8s, whilst also embracing a wide range of opportunities beyond the curriculum. Most recently, she received a Highly Commended award in the prestigious Young Walter Scott Prize, alongside her involvement in activities including Model United Nations and school musicals.

Annette now looks forward to studying French, Politics, Mathematics and Latin at A Level.

"Thank you so much to all my teachers, friends, and everyone who has supported me throughout this journey. I'm so happy with my GCSE results and incredibly grateful to all my teachers for their guidance, encouragement and support over the past years, not only academically, but also in encouraging me to continue with my extracurriculars, from Model United Nations to school musicals, even during Year 11.

I couldn't have achieved these results without Mayfield and all the amazing opportunities the school has given me. I'm especially grateful that I was able to balance my studies with the activities I love throughout such an important year. Thank you for all the experiences and support along the way."

Thursday was a day of celebration as we welcomed pupils and families back to Mayfield for GCSE Results Day.

Whilst the headline figures are impressive, what matters most is the story behind each result: the commitment, perseverance and personal growth shown by every girl throughout her journey.

⭐ What a fantastic set of GCSE results for Erin, who achieved four Grade 9s, three Grade 8s and two Grade 7s. Erin will continue her Mayfield journey studying Biology, Psychology and PE at A Level.

"I am extremely happy with my results and would like to thank all the staff who helped me grow and achieve these grades. As a Sports Scholar, I have been able to continue developing my sporting abilities while receiving the support and guidance needed to balance my academic studies. 🎻 We are incredibly proud of Frances, who lives in Tunbridge Wells and achieved an outstanding seven Grade 9s and three Grade 8s, rounding off an exceptional GCSE year.

She said: "I am truly delighted with my results. Having joined Mayfield in Year 7, I have been consistently guided and encouraged by my teachers to reach my full potential, through opportunities such as taking part in discussions at Scholars' Society, attending Model United Nations conferences as a delegate and performing in the School Orchestra. 🌟 We are thrilled to recognise the achievements of Amelia, a local student from Mayfield, who achieved four Grade 9s, four Grade 8s and one Grade 7 in her GCSEs.

Amelia will continue into Sixth Form to study Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology at A Level.

"I am very happy with my results and would like to thank my teachers, family and friends for supporting me throughout my journey at Mayfield. Since joining in Year 7, I have always been encouraged to pursue my interests within the school and in my home life. I look forward to continuing this at A-Level as I go on to study Maths, Chemistry and Biology, and seeing what lies ahead in the future!"

Congratulations to Lucie, who achieved an outstanding seven Grade 9s and two Grade 8s at GCSE 👏👏

An Academic Scholar, Lucie has consistently demonstrated a passion for learning, commitment and determination throughout her time at Mayfield. Lucie will now progress to Sixth Form to study Biology, Ceramics, Geography and Psychology at A Level.
