Big shout out to my man Scott Sturgeon! Winner of Doon Academy Young Musician competition, Runner up in East Ayrshire Young Musician of the Year and recently passed his Grade 5 drumkit with merit…87%!!! It’s been a busy couple of weeks for this boy. All at the age of only 13. Well done Scott. All your hard work has paid off 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👊

Congratulations to Tony Nelson on passing his Grade 8 with Distinction. An amazing score...90%!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Tony’s been a student of mine since I taught at Yamaha. If memory serves me correct he started at 7 years old which makes it 11 years since he first picked up the sticks. From the very get go you always knew he’d be an incredible player. Picked things up first time, great technique, reading ability, coordination and creativity. He really has the lot and at times I was struggling to keep up with they lightning hands!
