Handprint poppy wreaths for Remembrance Day. There is a lovely Remembrance Day programme for children on CBeebies at 11am, called 'Poppies', that we are going to watch together as a mark of respect for all the sacrifices made, by men and women of the world during times of conflict. We will remember them.

Remember, Remember the 5th of November.......very impressed with the children's bonfire and firework crafts this week! We've been busy creating using pipe cleaners, paint, real sticks, fabric, glitter and loads and loads of glue! (Sticking is a big favourite at Little Owls at the moment ☺️)

Wanted:
Childminding Assistant

Applicant to have experience working with babies and children.

Must be able to work alongside others and complete paperwork to support children's care, learning and development.

Must be a non smoker.

To have own transportation and flexibility would be preferred.

Knowledge of Ofsted and EYFS Guidelines, First Aid and Food Hygiene preferred.

Daily roles include: -

Setting up areas with toys and equipmentHelping to plan and implement suitable activities to support the learning and development of all children.Hygiene care, Nappy changing and Cleaning all areas when needed.Serving snacks and MealsHelping with paperwork i.e. observations using the online learning journal Tapestry and tracking to ensure child is making developmental progress, Filling out daily checks i.e. Registers, food temperature sheets etc.Following policies and procedures set.Having fun with the children.

Successful applicant will need to references and a clear DBS check.

A visit to our setting would be advised to check if you would like to work with us, we would like the successful applicant to be enthusiastic to stay with Little Owls long term (to support continuity of care for the children).

Meets minimum wage. 23 hours a week.

Today has been a busy day with a few of us going to the arc leisure centre tots swim session!! A couple of very tired children when we arrived back! Plus a shattered Rachel!
The others have had lots of fun at the house repeating the activities posted yesterday and loads of outdoor play too so I hear :) x
