A couple of the Matlock Pals attended Kentwell Hall at Long Melford in Suffolk for the “WW1 Bringing the boys home” event. The event follows the path an inured Soldier would have taken, from first aid in the trenches, to a field hospital and onto a convalescent home back in England along with some injured WW1 German prisoners. This event is planned to be even bigger and better for next year.

Matlock Pals will be in the trenches at Peak Rail in Derbyshire over the weekend of the 17th & 18th December, we would like to invite any Great War groups or individuals to come along if they would like to join us.
Camping for re-enactor is available from Friday 16th.
The event is a living history type event that will be open to members of the public to have a look round and chat with us all until 9pm on Saturday evening.
Sunday we are planning to recreate some original photos and have Wartog joining us during the day, so if you fancy getting muddy and grubby and want to be involved please get in contact with Jez Field so we know who's coming.

The Matlock Pals attended the fabulous multi period event at Gainsborough on the 9/10/11 of September where they met up with some of the Manchester Pals for a display of Bayonet and Drill training. The evenings were spent playing a game or two of "Put and Take" with a local French farm worker. Oh and it looks like we have a sore loser (last photo)
