This summer we helped install a hybrid grass tennis court in Central Park, New York 🎾

Hybrid grass is usually associated with football and rugby stadiums, but the same principles apply on a tennis court.

In this clip, Mark Ferguson of the All England Lawn Tennis Club explains how the club uses its hybrid grass courts, with insights from our very own Alan Thomson on the benefits of hybrid grass for tennis.

The Polish national team’s first official training pitch, at the ZWAR sports complex in Warsaw, has recently been resurfaced by our team in Poland.

Early feedback from players and coaching staff has been very positive. Thank you to the Polish Football Association (PZPN) for the opportunity to deliver this project.

Sport Ireland's pitches were reaching end of life, so we replaced the SBR infill system with organic infill, ahead of the EU's 2031 ban on polymeric infill.

With heavy commercial use, the pitches needed a durable surface. We installed our SIS GRASS Synthetic dual-fibre system, which combines monofilament and fibrillated yarns.

Ç𝐨𝐫𝐮𝐦 𝐅𝐊 - 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒ü𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐋𝐢𝐠 ⚽

Çorum FK begin their first Süper Lig season with three SIS GRASS Hybrid pitches in place.

The two training pitches were installed last year. This summer, the main pitch at Çorum Stadium was renovated with fresh natural turf from our turf farm in İzmir and stitched with SIS GRASS Hybrid to a depth of 90mm.

Our maintenance team is also on site day to day, planning the playing surface strategy across all three pitches, led by Maintenance Director Carlos Salgado.

Thanks to our Contracts Manager Süleyman Kenger for managing the programme from start to finish, leaving the club with an excellent standard of playing surface for both training and match days.

In June, the ice rink in Central Park became a grass tennis court for a Championships activation.

The court was stitched with Bio-X™ Fiber at Tuckahoe Turf Farm using our GAMEREADY Pre-Stitched technology, then harvested and installed on site.

It was the first tennis court, and the first full installation, to use our 100% biodegradable hybrid fibre.

SBR Infill ➡️ Organic Infill

At Sport Ireland's National Sports Campus in Abbotstown, our team completed the refurbishment of the 3G pitches used for commercial football, Gaelic games and rugby - surfaces that see 50 to 60 hours of play a week.

The original SBR infill pitches had reached the end of their lifecycle. With the EU's 2031 ban on microplastics approaching, we replaced it with Brockfill, an organic infill selected for its resistance to breakdown in Irish and UK conditions, alongside a new shock pad compatible with organic and traditional systems, and our SIS GRASS Synthetic Hybrid dual-fibre surface.

Ohio State University 🤝 SIS GRASS Hybrid

Practice football fields wear unevenly. The hash marks and high traffic zones take the heaviest, most repetitive use, session after session - and Ohio State University's practice football field is no different.

That's why the University chose to stitch hybrid grass into their natural grass practice field, reinforcing those zones to improve the durability and stability of the surface, and giving it more resilience to withstand heavy use.

This project is a great example of the flexibility of hybrid grass - it doesn't necessarily need to be installed across a full field. In this case, it's about reinforcing the high-use areas to improve wear tolerance for years to come.
