Somerset Private Tutor I offer private tuition for Maths and Science from KS2 up to KS4 plus A Level Biology. I help students build up their knowledge base and their confidence.

About yourself

I love teaching and really enjoy working with all of my students. I firmly believe that learning how a student learns is fundamental to helping deliver their lessons in a way that suits them best. I help my students to find out how they learn so that I can help them to make the most of our sessions. I also work hard to ensure that they feel relaxed and confident in their own abilit

ies. Many of my students feel that they just can't access the topics they are learning so I help give them the self-confidence they need. I cover the course-content as stated in the exam board their school is using to a depth that is relevant to their needs and capabilities. Above all I always strive to change that "I can't do it" mentality into an "I can't do it yet" state of mind. That way they are always willing to give it a go. As well as the course content itself I work on exam technique, revision styles and relaxation methods to help give students a more rounded session. I also offer adult learning, working with adults to raise their maths competence and confidence (eg those on the QTS course). I am happy to offer a free half hour trial lesson so that you / your child can find out if my teaching style suits their learning style.
