The Event Team held their first Activity Club evening tonight, where students enjoyed making autumnal wreaths while chatting about and planning for the upcoming Christmas Market.
Event Team Prefect Sam also gave a short speech, sharing some of the events he has been involved in and the fun and memorable experiences he has enjoyed over the past three years as a member of the Event Team.
With further Activity Club evenings planned for October, November and December, there’s plenty more to look forward to!

It’s been another busy week of learning, creativity, competition and achievement across the academy.
🎨 Year 7 have been developing their sketching skills, exploring techniques and building confidence in their artwork.
📜 College Clash saw students take on the challenge of creating the longest paper chain using just six pieces of A4 paper – a fantastic test of teamwork, creativity and problem-solving!
🎃🍅🥒 The Flegg Oasis Garden has been busy producing an amazing variety of pumpkins, tomatoes and courgettes, all of which were harvested this week. A wonderful celebration of our students’ hard work in the garden.
🎤 The Union of Flegg Students held assemblies throughout the week, giving students the opportunity to come together and share ideas.
⚽ Year 8 footballers secured an exciting 5–4 victory in a closely fought match. Well done, team!
🍕👩‍🍳 In Catering, students have been making delicious pizza flatbreads, developing their practical skills while creating something tasty!
🍓 Year 11 produced some gorgeous strawberry flans – a fantastic example of creativity and precision in the kitchen.
🤸 PE students have been taking to the trampolines this week, developing their coordination, control and confidence.
🎓 And finally, different colleges presented to our Year 11 students in assembly, helping them explore their options and think about their next steps beyond Flegg.
👏 Well done to all our students and staff for another fantastic week of learning and achievement!
