One thing that is really close to my heart when running Marston’s Stay and Play is making sure it is as inclusive as possible.
As a mum to a child with coeliac disease, I know first-hand how much children’s allergies, intolerances and autoimmune conditions can affect everyday activities. I know that something as simple as playdough isn’t always simple. Traditional playdough often contains wheat, so for some children it can be a worry rather than fun.
So this week I had my first go at making my own gluten-free playdough… and I think it was a success! 🥹
It’s a small change, but one that means children who need gluten-free options can join in without the same concerns. That’s exactly the kind of environment I want to create.🥰
All play activities at Marston’s Stay and Play are gluten-free and if your child has any dietary or medical needs, please do let me know. I will always do what I can to adapt things and make sure everyone feels included and able to join in safely. 💜
I will also always have Free From biscuits available, so no one ever misses out on a biscuit whilst at group. 🍪
Safe, welcoming and fun for everyone is exactly what I want to create. 🌈
