It all began with a teddy bear that I found in a charity shop and our road name that we came up with the name
Brown Bear Childcare. A kind friend Matt Wasted Spark Clothing then designed our logo for us . Katrina Widdicks recommended me to my first family and then we went on to take more minded Children that we named our "little bears"

Weve had 8x day care children, 6x after school children and helped cover a few others along the way.

We have welcomed all the little bears into our home and loved them like they are our own family.
Over the week we have waved goodbye to our little bears as they all do various days.

We haven't had a huge number of children over the last five years as many of our families have remained with us for the duration. Some sadly have not had as much time with us, & we wished it could have been longer.

Family time and supporting my own children's need's are what brings us to this change and more "me" time ( I hope)

I would like to take this opportunity to Thank Linda who has been my voluntary assistant who has also poured so much time, love, and money into Brown Bear and has been my biggest supporter.

Thank you to all the other childminders who have always been kind and supportive and who have brought lots of my resources. I hope their minded children enjoy them all and I wish them all the best of luck as they continue their childminding journey in what can be challenging times with more school nurseries popping up and so many changes, I wish them all the best.

Thank you to my family, having other children in our home and sharing everything they have including their time helping me get set up in the playroom and always showing such love and kindness to every little bear who has been here, they have built up some lovely little friendships too.

Thank you to Grandad for always letting me steal Linda and welcoming all the children into his home & garden too, I know he has enjoyed getting to be a big kid again with them all.

Thank you to my development officer Faye Markwell for your guidance & support and helping me get through Ofsted.

Receiving an Outstanding on my first inspection I could not have been any happier!( I certainly don't wish to do anymore though)

The biggest Thankyou's goes to all the families who chose Brown Bear Childcare for their baby/ child's care.
You have all been such amazing families to work with. I am grateful for you all trusting me to love and care for your children so you can work. I have enjoyed every moment and have some wonderful memories I will always treasure as will the rest of my family.
Thank you to all my little Bears- you have all been amazing!
I have enjoyed watching each child develop and flourish, I know they will go on to do amazing things with the love and support they receive from their families.

We have now waved off our last two little bears; and closed our doors for the last time, the bear we once started with now sits in the once was playroom holding our logo.

Thank you again to all we wish everyone the best of luck for the future.

Love Brown Bear Childcare ###x

Last week we walked to the Forest Centre, where we went exploring and played in the park there.
We have coloured in some animal masks, completed some sticker books and played some sorting games.

We got to play in Linda and Grandad's garden spotting the different signs of Spring, getting some good exercise in the large open space and we spotted lots of ladybirds.

All the children made a Mothers day card and a bath bomb for their Mummy's. They all made their own ones and really enjoyed watching the bath bomb come together.

We also took a trip the garden centre and went to visit Sue.
On Friday we went to church group.

We have just two weeks left till the Easter break and when we close the setting door to our childminding buisness and wave goodbye to our little bears 🐻.

Today we have had a lovely trip to the zoo to end our week.
We was fortunate enough to see lots of animals today.
We also had a trip to the zoo on Monday as well with a different set of Bears, as they all alternate their days.

This week we have also taken a trip to the Library to share some books and then the little bears choose some daffodils for their parents at the shops they paid for them and choose own ribbon to put on them.

Some of our children have done some more crafts in the setting and activity books.

We have had a trip to Moggerhanger woods and the garden centre.

We have also shared some lovely Easter and Spring books in the setting.

Wishing everyone a lovely weekend.
