Do me a favour.

Next time you're in Macdonalds try the McPlant.

It tastes fabulous and, if you can enjoy a burger that hits the spot without requiring the slaughter of animals, then surely it's worth a try.

You'll also be doing yourself a favour because it contains zero cholesterol and it's so much better for the environment.

The cows will also be very grateful

The environment is on it's knees and it's only gonna get worse.

We cannot rely on the government to address this so it's down to us

One of the biggest and easiest things we can do is to reduce how much meat and dairy we eat

If you're unwilling to cut down for the animals or for your health then do it for your children and your grandchildren

Time is not on our side

Henry Dimbleby says move is politically toxic but only way to achieve sustainable land use and avoid ecological breakdown

I think we all want a better, kinder world

The world can be a terrible place and so much is beyond our control.

But some things are easily within our grasp

We can make a real difference to end animal suffering and all you have to do is to eat something else - at least for some of the time

All animals form relationships.

All animals want to be loved

All animals want to live

Please, please consider not eating them

If you're reading this then you may or may not be vegan but you're probably interested in cutting down your meat consumption. This short film from the BBC shows how a plant based diet can have a huge effect on reducing our impact on the planet.

I don't believe a black and white/all or nothing approach is helpful and it's more of a sliding scale. Anything you can do to move along that sliding scale will make a difference.

Do what you can - for the planet and the animals who share it with us

What if the whole world went vegan? This BBC Ideas video looks at what impact it would that have in terms of climate change and the environment.

Plant based chicken has gotten so good that you can hardly tell the difference.

If it tastes the same but requires that no chickens are harmed why would we choose otherwise?

Try it and decide for yourself

You know how dogs are playful and friendly and form bonds with people . . .
