Does your child struggle with writing? ✏️

Sonny did. He started with me initially for handwriting as he has dyspraxia, dyslexia and sensory processing. He made amazing progress and his mum asked me to keep coming. 😁 Now we do creative writing and times tables each week. He got full marks in the Year 4 Multiplication Check! 🙌

Today was Sonny’s first creative writing session back after the holidays and we took inspiration from ‘George’s Marvellous Medicine’.

We read a chapter then decided our ingredients and put them into the pan (written on post-it notes). 🍳

After giving it a good stir, Sonny scooped out the first one: shampoo 🧴and the second one: a sponge 🧽. Of course, we got really creative and expanded his ideas using adjectives, alliteration and great vocabulary choices to start writing his recipe! To be continued…

🎹 Paul is a complete beginner at reading music, having self-taught from memory and online videos in the past, however, his timing and accuracy were not consistent. This has been a whole new ball game for him, and we’ve started from the absolute basics and taken a big step back, but we are only 4 months into his lessons and he’s doing brilliantly! 😎 With his natural tendency to race through everything at breakneck speed, we’ve been working on slowing down! 😅

Lessons are at your own pace, based in Marske-by-the-Sea.

They are for adults or teenagers: complete beginners and improvers. You can work towards exams if you wish, or just play for fun! 💜

100% SATS success 2026! 🎉
Congratulations to all of our fabulous Year 6 students moving from ‘well below’ and ‘below the standard’ to ‘expected standard’ with some students who had a truly phenomenal achievement - almost reaching ‘greater depth!’ 🙌 Wow!!! Every student starting outside of the 6 weeks prior to SATS passed with flying colours. Those starting close to the tests still did themselves proud and either passed or narrowly missed out. Well done! 👏 We do recommend a few months of tuition (at least).
