🌟 This Week at our High Wycombe Nursery! 🌟

We’ve been embracing the magic of autumn through hands-on sensory play and creative activities! From exploring pumpkins and counting their seeds to creating colourful autumn crafts, our little learners have been discovering the sights, textures and colours of the season while developing their early maths, fine motor and sensory skills. 🎃🍂

We’ve also been exploring mark making through our autumn themed activities! Using a variety of tools and materials, our little learners have been developing their early writing skills, strengthening their fine motor muscles and experimenting with lines, shapes and patterns. These fun, hands-on experiences encourage creativity, build confidence and support the early stages of writing.

🌟 HIGH WYCOMBE NURSERY OPEN WEEK! 🌟

We’re excited to invite families to our High Wycombe Nursery Open Week, taking place from Tuesday 20th to Saturday 24th October! 🎉

Throughout the week, we’ll have a variety of exciting themes, activities and opportunities for little ones to explore, play, get creative and have fun. 🧸🎨🍂

👶 All families with with children under 5 are welcome!
🎨 Lots of activities for children to take part in
✨ Completely FREE to attend!

We’ve got lots planned across the week, so please take a look at the attached posters below for more information about each day's activities.

🌳🦡 A Badger Adventure Today at our MicklefieldNursery! 🦡🌿

We explored the woods to discover where badgers live and what they eat. The children learned about badger setts, explored their woodland habitat and discovered the different foods badgers enjoy.

This supported the EYFS through Understanding the World, Communication and Language and Physical Development, encouraging curiosity, asking questions and learning about the natural world. 🍂✨

📮✨ A special secret mission at our Micklefield Nursery! ✨

Our little ones have been busy creating their very own postcards to send to all our sister nurseries! 💌

The children visited the Post Office to buy stamps before heading out on their special mission to post their lovely creations. One particularly thoughtful postcard was made for a child's nanna and grampy, who have recently moved house. ❤️

This wonderful experience supported the children's learning across the EYFS areas of Literacy, Communication and Language, Expressive Arts and Design, and Understanding the World, while encouraging creativity, kindness and meaningful connections with others.

🌿✨ We’ve had another fantastic week at our Marlow Nursery filled with fun, learning and lots of exploring!

🥰 Our little ones enjoyed gardening club, where we planted onions, picked our own carrots and cucumbers, and watered our flowers and plants. 🥕🥒🌼
We’ve been busy outdoors playing on our large wheeled toys, practising our fine motor skills using scissors, and exploring role-play shops. 🛒

Our little bakers made their own bread, while our little gardeners planted cress seeds and learnt about how things grow. 🌱

We also explored our emotions by creating playdough feelings faces and got hands-on with our autumn mud kitchen, using our imaginations to create and explore! 🍂🧑‍🍳

It’s been a wonderful week of learning through play, developing new skills and making special memories together. ❤️🌈

A huge thank you to Pirates Landing, High Wycombe, for giving our children such an amazing experience! 💙

Our little explorers had the BEST time making memories, playing in the ball pit, whizzing down the slides and enjoying endless amounts of fun! 🛝There were so many smiles, giggles and happy faces throughout the trip!

We loved seeing the children explore, try new things and enjoy this exciting experience together. It was wonderful to watch them having so much fun and making special memories with their friends! 💫

Thank you again to Pirates Landing for making our visit so special. We can safely say our little pirates had a day to remember!💙
