The children have been helping to care for our tomato plants by watering them regularly and making sure they are safe and well cared for. 💧🌱 They have enjoyed watching the tomatoes grow and change, and are excited to see them ripen and become ready to eat. 🍅😊 Through caring for the plants, the children have learned about responsibility, patience, and how to care for living things. They have also learned that plants need water, sunlight, and lots of care to grow healthy tomatoes. ☀️💚
This hands-on experience is helping the children develop responsibility, curiosity and confidence while learning about nature, healthy food and where the things we eat come from. 🌱❤️

Our toddlers had lots of fun exploring nature and getting creative with sticks, leaves, and other natural resources to make their very own collages! 🍃🪵

🍃🎨 Little Artists at Work! 🎨🍃

Today was all about getting creative with nature! Our little ones enjoyed a fun leaf-painting and printing activity. 🖌️🍂

The babies had their very own paintbrushes and colourful paints, carefully painting the leaves before pressing them onto a blank sheet of paper to reveal their beautiful leaf prints. What a lovely surprise! 🌿✨

This hands-on activity was a fantastic way to support their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, creativity and sensory exploration, while also discovering a little bit about cause and effect — paint + leaves + paper = beautiful artwork! 🥰

Let's explore blackberries 🍇
The children had a wonderful time exploring the blackberries that are in season. Wearing protective gloves, they carefully picked the ripe blackberries, learning how to handle the plants safely and respectfully. 🧤
We then used some of the freshly picked berries to make our own blackberry playdough, which the children enjoyed moulding and shaping into their own creations.
Using a pestle and mortar, they crushed blackberries to make natural blackberry paint and explored the rich colours and textures they could create. We used our homemade paint to create beautiful artwork, making marks, patterns and pictures inspired by nature. 🖌
The children also experimented with blackberry “gloop”, enjoying the sensory experience and discovering how the berries changed as they were squashed and mixed. 🧪
This hands-on activity encouraged creativity, sensory exploration, fine-motor skills and an understanding of seasonal fruits and where our food comes from.☀️

Our toddlers had lots of fun exploring our green swamp tuff tray today! 💚 They used their tweezers to carefully investigate and see what they could find hidden amongst the swamp. There was lots of curiosity, concentration, and excitement as they picked up, examined, and explored the different objects in the swamp.🔍 A wonderful hands-on activity encouraging fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, problem-solving, and curiosity, all while having lots of fun! 🌱💚

Our toddlers had so much fun exploring patterns through this hands-on activity! 🧩✨ They carefully looked at the shapes, colours, and sequences, then had a go at following and continuing the patterns themselves.

Activities like this are a wonderful way to develop early maths skills, problem-solving, concentration, and visual recognition — all while having lots of fun! 💚💙❤️

🐾✂️ Animal Rescue Mission! 🐾

Our toddlers became animal rescuers today! They worked hard to cut the animals free from their tape “traps,” using scissors to carefully rescue each one. ✂️🐶🐱🦁
It was a fun, hands-on activity that encouraged fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, concentration, and problem-solving. All while sparking lots of imaginative play! 💕🌟

There were plenty of happy little rescuers and lots of animals safely set free! 🐾❤️
