As part of our preparations for STEM Week and our upcoming Science Fair, Year 6 explored how individuals around the world are challenging and breaking down stereotypes in science.

We discussed the stereotypes that still exist in society and considered how they can limit people from reaching their full potential. The children then chose a stereotype they wanted to challenge, wrote it down, and dissolved it in water. A powerful symbol of rejecting these barriers within our school community.

We are proud to see our pupils thinking critically, standing up for equality, and embracing a future where science is for everyone.

Holy Trinity have kicked off the summer term brilliantly! Our Year 3 and 4 pupils enjoyed friendly football fixtures, while our development team secured two impressive wins. Our netball team also put in a strong, hard-fought performance.
We’re delighted to share that we’ve reached the finals of the High Wycombe and Marlow Cup tournament—huge congratulations to our U10 team for their determination and effort in getting there. We wish you the very best of luck in the final!
Well done to all the schools who took part—we’re looking forward to seeing the other finalists and cheering on the U11s and girls from the sidelines!

Holy Trinity enjoyed taking part in a fantastic festival this week inspired by the Commonwealth Games, which are being hosted in Glasgow this year. The children had a wonderful time developing their skills in sports such as netball, athletics, boccia, gymnastics, and basketball. A big thank you to the School Games team for organising the event, and to the students from The Beaconsfield School for leading each activity station!

Eco Warriors in Action!
Our Eco Warriors had a fantastic time walking to Rookery Park for the Great British Spring Clean, filling a whole bin bag with litter! They also found a fallen birdhouse, which we’ll repair and rehome. We’re so proud of their efforts to care for our community. Next stop… the school field!

This week has been our annual First Aid Week, and what a fantastic few days it’s been. Every class took part in hands‑on First Aid sessions with Claire and Leanne from Child Matters, learning practical skills that could one day make a real difference.

Our pupils have been practising how to put someone in the recovery position, understanding DRS ABC, applying bandages, helping someone who is choking, and knowing what to do in the event of a burn.

Please ask your children what they learned as you might be surprised by just how much they can now teach you!

Year 3 kicked off our Predator topic with a bang last week. We welcomed Richard from Crocodile Encounters into school, who delivered a fantastic, fact- and animal-filled session for each class.

We had the opportunity to touch some very interesting creatures, including a crocodile, a blue-tongued skink, a corn snake, and a bearded dragon. What a fantastic adventure it was, learning about how long it takes to care for them and how they behave in the wild!

Little Marlow made the most of the sunshine, learning about fire safety and how to safely build a fire. The children remembered the 1,2,3 pancake rule and helped measure, mix and even light the fire with flint and steel! The pancakes were a big success and everyone had great fun flipping them! 😊✨🥞

We are incredibly proud of our 8 runners who represented our school at the Buckinghamshire County Trials held at Stowe School. They all ran brilliantly, showing outstanding determination, resilience, and positivity throughout a very competitive event.

We are also delighted to share that three of our runners have received Buckinghamshire invitations for national consideration, which is a fantastic achievement. To top it all off, one runner came home with a well-deserved silver medal 🥈

A huge congratulations to all involved you represented the school superbly, and we couldn’t be prouder! It was also lovely to see lots of past students competing for their secondary schools!

Year 3 recently enjoyed an exciting Computing Day, where they learned all about stop-frame animation! 💻🎬
They discovered how to make pictures move and explored the many steps involved in making animations look natural and realistic. Using their new technological skills, the children created their very own Stone Age stop-frame animations on iPads. We were so impressed with their creativity, teamwork, and enthusiasm!
