The countdown to September is officially on!

If extra support has been on your mind for the new school year, now is a great time to put it in place.

We have just a handful of September spaces remaining, so there are still opportunities to join us in the following groups...

Whether your child is preparing for the Eleven Plus, would benefit from extra support in maths or writing, or simply needs a little encouragement with their learning, we'd love to help.

What Our Parents Told Us...

One of the biggest compliments we can receive is hearing that children genuinely enjoy coming to Marlow Mentors.

In our latest parent feedback, 95% of parents said their child is now more motivated and positive towards learning.

For us, this is about so much more than academic progress. When children enjoy learning, they become more curious, more confident and more willing to have a go. That's where real progress begins.

If you're looking for a positive, nurturing environment for your child this September it's not too late...we have a few final spaces available.

Another Summer School complete...and we're so proud of what we've achieved together.

One of the things we love most about Summer School is seeing how quickly children grow in confidence when they're taught in a fun, engaging and supportive environment.

Our experienced teaching team knows exactly how to balance learning with plenty of smiles, movement and well-earned breaks, keeping children motivated from start to finish.

What makes Marlow Mentors different, though, is how personal it is. We know every child by name, we understand where they need support, and it was so lovely to welcome parents in at the end to celebrate everything they achieved and chat about their progress.

A huge thank you to our wonderful children, families and teaching team for making it such a special few days. We can't wait to see so many of you again in September!

This week, we welcomed our new September Eleven Plus families to Marlow Mentors for our Welcome Seminar.

Before children even step into their first session, we want parents to feel informed, reassured and confident about the journey ahead. Together, we talk through what the year will look like, what children will be learning, and how families can best support them at home.

It's all part of our belief that the best outcomes come when parents and teachers work together.

It's just one of the many ways we make our mentoring personal, supportive and tailored to every child and family.

A huge welcome to all of our new families - we're so excited to begin this journey with you.

If you joined our Eleven Plus Summer Success Seminar last month, you'll probably recognise this advice...

As September gets closer, it's completely natural to feel like you should be doing more.

More papers.

More revision.

More tutoring.

But in reality, that can often leave children feeling tired, overwhelmed and less confident. Instead, keep practice short, focused and consistent.

The final few weeks before the Eleven Plus aren't about learning everything, they're about helping your child feel calm, prepared and confident.

Wishing all of our Year 5 families a wonderful rest of the summer. Remember, confidence grows through calm, consistent practice.

A milestone I'm incredibly proud of...

Did you know that every Marlow Mentors workbook is written, designed and created by us?

Over the past three years, we've combined decades of classroom experience to create resources that are engaging, age-appropriate and genuinely support children's learning.

From Year 2 right through to Year 6 and Eleven Plus, each workbook has been carefully crafted to meet children where they are, building confidence every step of the way.

Our goal from the very beginning was to create workbooks that felt just right for every year group. Thanks to the wonderful feedback we've received from both parents and children, I know we've achieved exactly that.

A huge thank you to my incredible team for sharing your expertise, ideas and years of classroom experience. I truly couldn't have done it without you.

Our aim is to help every child feel more confident, curious and positive about learning.

Sometimes, a little extra support is all it takes to help children ask more questions, have a go and build the confidence to thrive throughout the school year.

Our September groups are nearly full, with waiting lists already in place for some sessions.

Summer doesn't have to mean putting learning on hold. ☀️

In fact, some of the best learning happens away from the classroom.

Whether it's choosing books at the library, planning a picnic or playing a family board game, there are so many opportunities to build confidence and curiosity through everyday moments.

Here are a few easy ideas to try over the holidays:

📚 Join your local library's Summer Reading Challenge.

✍️ Write postcards to family and friends - even from home!

👵 Interview a grandparent and record their favourite memories or start building a family tree.

🎲 Play games like Monopoly, Yahtzee or Rummikub Junior to practise maths and number patterns without it feeling like maths.

🧺 Give your child a small budget to plan and shop for a family picnic.

🐞 Go on a bug hunt or nature walk and see what you can identify.

🍃 Collect leaves, twigs and stones to create nature-inspired artwork at home.

The little things really do add up and children often learn best when they don't even realise they're learning.

What a year it's been.

We're so proud of each and every one of our amazing children - all 𝟭𝟱𝟬 of them! It's been a privilege to be part of every child's journey.

A huge thank you to all of our wonderful families for your continued support and trust.

If you're joining us for Summer School, we'll see you very soon! ☀️ And for everyone else, have a fantastic summer - we can't wait to welcome you back next term.

What if Eleven Plus preparation didn't have to compete with the school week?

Homework. Clubs. Busy work schedules. Tired children.

For many families, fitting Eleven Plus preparation into an already packed weekday can feel like a challenge in itself.

That's exactly why we're so excited to be introducing our Saturday Eleven Plus classes with Zoe this September.

Weekend learning offers something different.

✨ Children arrive with a fresh, well-rested mind.
✨ There's no rushing from school or squeezing in one more activity before bedtime.
✨ They have the time and headspace to think, ask questions and fully engage with the session.

One of the things we're most proud of at Marlow Mentors is that children don't see our sessions as "more school." We create engaging, supportive lessons that build confidence, encourage curiosity and help children enjoy learning. Holding these sessions on a Saturday helps to reinforce that feeling.

If you've been considering Eleven Plus support but haven't been able to make weekday sessions work, our new Saturday classes could be exactly what you've been looking for.
