To finish off our PSHE lessons we talked about the UN and the 17 sustainable development goals. We found that goals 1, 2, 4, 5 and 10 fit in with what we were learning about Kwende and Chiwa in Malawi! We brainstormed as a class how we can have Quality Education for all and focused on goal #4! Here are some photos to spread awareness! We can make a difference.

We are extremely proud to receive this letter from Damian Hinds MP, Minister for Schools, to congratulate us on our outstanding phonics results in 2023. As always, it’s a team effort so well done to our children, teachers, support staff and parents! Thanks also to the PA for funding the Monster Phonics scheme and to Monster Phonics for providing an inspiring and engaging phonics programme!

It was great to have Ella, a student from Borlase, into Year 2 today sharing her experiences of becoming resilient in school and tackling tasks that she once thought were “Impossible”.

Ella has published a book called “Impossible” which she first started writing when she was in year 6! She really inspired the pupils that anything is possible if you put your mind to it!

Impossible can be ordered on Amazon or requested to order at Marlow Book Shop.
