🌿Forest School coming soon to C4U Marlow🌿

We are excited to share that our Pre School Room leader has recently Started her Forest school training.
On her recent training session, she has learnt to use different tools to carve sticks, create her very own "stick man" and experiment with different knots to tie sticks and wood together. They also created their own superhero character to protect their forest school site! How much fun does this sound?!

We cannot wait to start implementing Forest School as this provides children with inspiring, creative, hands-on experiences in the natural environment, whilst learning to problem-solve, risk take and to develop self-confidence.

🌿Open Week at childcare4u Marlow 🌿

We are holding an open week here at childcare4 u Marlow, Book in for an appointment to allow us the opportunity to give you a tour of our wonderful nursery.

💗Valentine's Day 💗

We were feeling the love here at Childcare 4 U Marlow. On Valentine's Day, We invited the parents in for breakfast and to spend quality time with their children. The Staff set up beautiful opportunities that the children and their parents could do together. We had love potion making, Baking jam tarts and a variety of engaging pink and red sensory activities.

This links in with our curriculum "To be in touch with our feelings and build strong bonds"

Visit to the Library 📚

Last Wednesday, the Pre - School took a lovely walk to the library!
The children had the opportunity to look at books in their own time and learn what a library is. The children sat with the staff to read different books that they would not normally read here at nursery. We would like to start going to the library at least once a month on different days, so all children get the chance to go.

🌟For your information the library holds a story telling session for children every Friday at 1030am if you're interested in taking your children 🌟

Animal sensory Trays 🐖🐏🦮🐎🦖

This week, The Toddlers have been learning about different animals and their habitats through these two exciting small world sensory opportunities - "on the farm" and "dinosaur land" These opportunities offered a range of textures and materials which included stone pebbles, sand, pine combs and paint for the children to have fun and explore with their hands.

The staff then read animal themed stories, where the children demonstrated fantastic listening and attention skills. The children made links by pointing and naming animals from the books and matching to the activities. Through this, the children were exposed to language rich words which will support their overall language development.

This link in with our curriculum "To be confident communicators" and "To be curious explorers"

We have been getting into the Christmas spirit here at Childcare 4 u 🎄
This week, all rooms have been taking part in a variety of festive opportunities. Wednesday was "National Elf day" and the children came in dressed up in elf costumes and participated in activities which include an Elf Race, reading Elf stories and creative messy play. Throughout this week, we also had bauble play, festive dough and Christmas Painting.

We are looking forward to next week with more festive opportunities and our Christmas Party! 🎄❄️🎁☃️

❄️ Winter Sensory tray ❄️

Today in the Baby room, the babies have been exploring our winter sensory tray set up with play foam, metallic blocks and winter small world animals. The babies showed enjoyment moving the animals through the foam and demonstrated good hand eye co-ordination to balance the animals onto the sliver blocks. The babies also had great fun exploring the texture of the sensory foam between their fingers and clapping their hands together whilst watching in delight as the foam came down like snowflakes. This activity is a link to our curriculum "To be a curious explorer"

🩹Childcare4u Marlow are looking into providing a Parent and Guardian First aid course which will be held at Childcare4u Marlow 🩹

All are welcome, including those parents in Marlow who would do not attend the nursery.
I have attached a poster with what it covers, who the provider will be and where it will be held.

🎄Marlow Light Switch on 🎄

Last night was Marlow's Christmas Light Switch on, we had so much fun inviting in our families and friends for Free hot chocolate. Allowing them to warm up from watching all the festivities going on out in the cold.

We had mince pies, gingerbread other Festive treats along with Yummy hot chocolate and marshmallows.

We showed the parents round the nursery, conversing in conversation and having a laugh.

Thank you again for all of you that turned up, we look forward to inviting you in again next year.

🧁Something special for the parents 🧁

Over the last couple of nights, we have been carrying out parents evening. This is always the perfect time for parents to hear how their children are doing in their development.
This allows for parent partnership between Key workers and parents to form so we can work collaboratively with their child's journey in development.

As a special festive treat Childcare4u Marlow's manager made some scrumptious treats for the parents, he made ginger bread men and gingerbread cupcakes just to say thank you.

There were also opportunities to talk to the management team whilst waiting for their appointments, or they had the chance to complete a day nurseries review for us, which we love to get feedback and hear the wonderful words our parents put about our nurseries.
