💚💙 Some days remind you why you absolutely love what you do. 💙💚

Last week, I said goodbye to one of my wonderful pupils as he finishes his Primary Planet journey and heads off to secondary school in September.

I was completely overwhelmed to receive this beautiful bouquet and such a thoughtful card from his family. Their kindness and generosity mean far more than they probably realise.

Tutoring has never just been about improving maths, English or preparing for exams. It’s about building confidence, celebrating achievements, supporting children through challenges, and watching them grow into capable, resilient young people.

It has been an absolute privilege to be part of his journey, and I’m incredibly proud of everything he has achieved. I wish him every success and happiness in this exciting new chapter.

To his family - thank you for trusting me with such an important part of his education, and for this beautiful gift. Your thoughtfulness has truly made my day. 💐 (Thankyou to Florista for creating such an amazing bouquet!)

Good luck at secondary school Bruno - you’ve absolutely got this! 🌟

🎨 Happy Birthday, John Constable! 🎨

Today is the birthday of the artist behind The Hay Wain who was born on this day in 1776 - 250 years ago! This is a painting that has been a part of my life since I was a child!

Growing up, we had a copy hanging in our lounge just like many 1970’s homes! As a child, I spent hours staring at it, wondering why a farmer had decided the best route home was straight through a river. 🚜

Wasn’t there a bridge? Had he ignored his sat nav? Was this the 1821 version of “I know a shortcut”? 🤷‍♀️

Now, after my dad passed away, the picture has come to live with me and currently resides in my garage. Looking at it now, I realise that one painting sparked hundreds of questions over the years. And that’s exactly what we love at Primary Planet Tutoring. Learning doesn’t start with knowing the answer - it starts with asking questions.

Although I still have a few about why men can’t seem to ask for directions!! 🤔

Happy Birthday, Mr Constable. Thanks for the memories, the curiosity, and for proving that even 200 years ago people were capable of making questionable transport decisions! 😆🎂🎨

When my students insist on attending tutoring sessions on their birthdays, I guess I must be doing something right!! 🤩🌟

We decided it was only right to help Olivia celebrate with a birthday cake - and help her eat it of course! 🎂

I love making learning fun for my students! Happy Birthday Olivia! 🎉🥳

To all of my amazing Year 6 superstars… 🌟

I am SO proud of every single one of you this week. You have shown resilience, determination, positivity and courage - and that matters far more than any test score ever could. 💙💚

You’ve only got ONE more day of SATs to go and you’ve absolutely got this! Remember, SATs are just a small snapshot of who you are. They don’t measure your kindness, creativity, humour, talents or the incredible potential inside each of you. ✨

Take a deep breath, believe in yourselves and walk in tomorrow knowing how brilliant you already are. I’m cheering you on every step of the way! 🌏🌟🩵

You’ve got this! 💖

Today we celebrate 100 incredible years of Sir David Attenborough - a man who has inspired generations to stay curious, protect our planet and never stop learning. 🌍💚🩵💙

At Primary Planet Tutoring, his passion for discovery perfectly reflects my ethos: nurturing curiosity, inspiring a love of learning and helping children see the wonder in the world around them. From the tiniest rainforest insect to the vast oceans of our planet, Sir David has shown us that learning comes alive when we connect it to the real world.

Happy 100th Birthday to a true national treasure and lifelong educator. Thank you for inspiring us all to keep exploring, questioning and caring for our world.

After teaching Year 4 for 7 years all about Ancient Egypt, I finally got to experience it for myself on my holiday to Egypt! 🇪🇬

From standing in awe of the great pyramids, visiting the Step Pyramid and actually venturing inside the Red Pyramid, to visiting Tutankhamun’s tomb and seeing his mummified body with my own eyes… it truly brought everything I’ve taught to life in the most unforgettable way.

I also got to see all the incredible treasures found in his tomb at the Grand Egyptian Museum - something I’ve spoken about so many times in lessons but nothing compares to seeing it in real life!

It’s moments like these that remind me of the power of a love of learning, and just how important it is to bring history to life ✨

A truly amazing & unforgettable holiday! 😎☀️💖🌟
