🍎 Happy National Teachers’ Day! 🍎

As someone who has spent many years as a teacher, today feels like a particularly special one for me. ❤️

I know first-hand the joy, the challenges, the laughter, the long days and the little moments that make teaching such a rewarding job. There’s nothing quite like seeing a child suddenly believe in themselves, master something they’ve struggled with, or proudly say, “I can do it!”

Even though my journey has now taken me into tutoring through Primary Planet, I still feel incredibly proud to be part of the education world and to support children as they learn and grow.

So today, a huge thank you to all the wonderful teachers - past and present - who inspire, encourage, challenge and champion our children. Your influence reaches far beyond the classroom, and you make a difference every single day. 🌎💚

And to all the teachers I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside over the years… this one’s for you! ⭐️🍎

🍀 Good luck to all of my fabulous children taking the 11+ test today!🍀

After months of hard work, determination, practice papers, tricky questions, “I don’t get it!” moments and probably enough pencils to stock a stationery cupboard… the 11+ is finally here! 😂✏️

I honestly couldn’t be prouder of every one of you. 💙💚

I’ve watched you grow in confidence, tackle things that once seemed impossible, make mistakes, learn from them and keep going when things have felt challenging. That hard work, resilience and determination are achievements in themselves - I hope you feel proud of how far you have come.

Today, take a deep breath, read each question carefully and trust yourselves. You know far more than you think you do! Remember, you don’t have to get everything right - just take your time, do your very best and show the paper what you can do. 🌟

And finally… we can officially stop talking about the 11+! 🎉😂
(I’m not sure who will be more relieved - you or your parents! 😉)

Whatever happens, you will always have my admiration for the effort you have put in and the progress you have made.

Believe in yourselves, be proud and go smash it! 🍀💙💚

This handmade card has honestly melted my heart 😍💚🩵💙

I’ve had the absolute pleasure of tutoring this lovely girl since she was in Year 3, and watching her journey has been so incredibly rewarding.

I couldn’t be prouder of the amazing progress she has made, not just academically, but in her confidence, resilience and belief in herself. She has worked so hard, faced challenges head-on and never given up - seeing how far she has come makes me incredibly proud. 🌟

And then she presented me with this beautiful handmade card featuring the animals from my Primary Planet Tutoring website! 🐘🐊🦒 🐔 It’s the kind of thing that reminds you why you love what you do. ❤️

The little poem inside was so thoughtful and completely made my day. To know that she feels I have helped her so much along the way is incredibly special.

It has been an absolute pleasure watching you grow into the confident, capable young person you are today. Keep believing in yourself and keep going - you have so much to be proud of! 🥰

✨ After many hours of juggling, moving things around, and carefully weighing up everyone’s availability, I’m so pleased to finally share the new September Group timetable! 😊

Putting this together has been a bit like solving a giant puzzle! My aim has been to accommodate as many children and families as possible while creating groups that work well, keep numbers small, and ensure every child receives the support they deserve.

💚💙 Some days remind you why you absolutely love what you do. 💙💚

Last week, I said goodbye to one of my wonderful pupils as he finishes his Primary Planet journey and heads off to secondary school in September.

I was completely overwhelmed to receive this beautiful bouquet and such a thoughtful card from his family. Their kindness and generosity mean far more than they probably realise.

Tutoring has never just been about improving maths, English or preparing for exams. It’s about building confidence, celebrating achievements, supporting children through challenges, and watching them grow into capable, resilient young people.

It has been an absolute privilege to be part of his journey, and I’m incredibly proud of everything he has achieved. I wish him every success and happiness in this exciting new chapter.

To his family - thank you for trusting me with such an important part of his education, and for this beautiful gift. Your thoughtfulness has truly made my day. 💐 (Thankyou to Florista for creating such an amazing bouquet!)

🎨 Happy Birthday, John Constable! 🎨

Today is the birthday of the artist behind The Hay Wain who was born on this day in 1776 - 250 years ago! This is a painting that has been a part of my life since I was a child!

Growing up, we had a copy hanging in our lounge just like many 1970’s homes! As a child, I spent hours staring at it, wondering why a farmer had decided the best route home was straight through a river. 🚜

Wasn’t there a bridge? Had he ignored his sat nav? Was this the 1821 version of “I know a shortcut”? 🤷‍♀️

Now, after my dad passed away, the picture has come to live with me and currently resides in my garage. Looking at it now, I realise that one painting sparked hundreds of questions over the years. And that’s exactly what we love at Primary Planet Tutoring. Learning doesn’t start with knowing the answer - it starts with asking questions.

Although I still have a few about why men can’t seem to ask for directions!! 🤔

Happy Birthday, Mr Constable. Thanks for the memories, the curiosity, and for proving that even 200 years ago people were capable of making questionable transport decisions! 😆🎂🎨

When my students insist on attending tutoring sessions on their birthdays, I guess I must be doing something right!! 🤩🌟

We decided it was only right to help Olivia celebrate with a birthday cake - and help her eat it of course! 🎂

I love making learning fun for my students! Happy Birthday Olivia! 🎉🥳
