Our kidsโ€™ classes are designed especially for Primary School learners and are packed with interactive games, songs, crafts, stories and role play. Whether your child is completely new to Spanish or already knows a few words, our classes are designed to inspire a lifelong love of Spanish.

Why should your child learn another language? Here are 5 reasons:

๐Ÿง  Learn at the perfect age โ€“ Young children are naturally wired for language learning. They pick up pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar more easily than adults, making childhood the ideal time to start.

๐Ÿ’ก Boost cognitive skills โ€“ Learning another language improves memory, concentration, problem-solving, and critical thinking. Studies suggest that learning another language supports literacy and mathematical thinking.

๐ŸŒ Develop cultural awareness โ€“ Children gain a greater understanding of Spanish and Latin American cultures, encouraging them to see the world from different perspectives and communicate with confidence and empathy.

๐ŸŽ“ Get ahead for secondary school and the future โ€“ A strong foundation in Spanish gives children a real advantage when they begin GCSE languages. On top of this, Spanish is the world's second most spoken language, and is predicted by the British Council to be one of our most needed languages in the future.

๐ŸŒŸ Grow confidence โ€“ Learning through speaking, singing, and games helps children become confident communicators in a fun, supportive environment.

๐ŸŒŸ Meet Tegan Collingeโ€” our Spanish for Kids leader.

Tegan is a TEFL-certified English and Spanish teacher with a degree in Spanish and French Translation from Cardiff University.

Her passion for languages and cultural exchange has taken her abroad, including an Erasmus year studying and living in Paris and Barcelona, where she developed a lasting connection with Spain โ€” something she is now delighted to share with the children she teaches.

Tegan brings energy, creativity and enthusiasm to her lessons, creating a supportive and engaging environment where children can enjoy learning Spanish, building confidence and discovering a little more about Spanish language and culture along the way.

Weโ€™re delighted to have her leading our Spanish for Kids classes at MSoL!

As we wrap up this Week of Languages, I find myself reflecting on just how positive the experience has been.

It reminded me that teaching is not about our own performance. It isn't about proving how much we know or listening to the sound of our own voices. It becomes the real thing when the line between teacher and student disappears, and we become one team with a shared purpose.

The best lessons are not the ones we want to deliver, but the ones our students need and want to receive. Teaching is an act of generosity: meeting people where they are, nurturing their confidence, and creating the conditions for them to grow. At its heart, teaching is about the willingness to connect with others, and last week's Language Summer School was a wonderful example of that.

The week also reminded me how much life is enriched by belonging to a warm and welcoming community.

A heartfelt thank you to The Marlborough Inn and La Bobina Marlborough for becoming a true extension of Marlborough School of Languages' Summer School. Your beautiful spaces, wonderful food and generous hospitality helped create the sense of connection and belonging that made this week so memorable.

The pictures here are only a glimpse of what FIESTA 2026 was all about. I could not be prouder of what we achieved.

We are a small team of independent language tutors, passionate about what we do. We organise and run the entire event on a part-time basis while juggling other teaching commitments. Looking back at everything we accomplished together, I think it's quite remarkable.

If you would like to be part of this community, bookings are now open for our regular language lessons and courses starting in September.

We help adults learn or improve their Spanish, French, German (NEW), Italian and English (EFL) in a friendly, supportive environment, online and face to face. We also help GCSE and A Level students maximise their grades by developing their language skills, building confidence and mastering exam technique. From September, a fantastic new Spanish tutor will be running group lessons for primary school-aged children, with the aim of sparking their curiosity and encouraging a love of language learning from an early age.

Please email or call us before we take our summer break in mid-August. We'd love to help you achieve your language-learning goals and welcome you to our growing community and social events.
