A PT qualification should give you more than a certificate.

It should help you feel more confident coaching real people and preparing for an actual career in the fitness industry. Of course, a lot of the learning still comes from doing. Like anything.

Most importantly, Tom felt supported, understood and in good hands whenever a hurdle came up, whether that was connected to the course or his personal life.

That is exactly what we want.

Our aim is not simply to help you pass.

We want you to understand how to coach different people, adapt exercises, answer questions and feel confident taking your next step in the fitness industry.

You do not need to be the youngest or fittest person in the room.

You do not need to know everything before you begin.

That is what learning is for.

Our September course is now full, but we have spaces available for our next Level 3 Personal Trainer Diploma starting on Saturday 9th January 2027 in Marlborough.

Once enrolled, you can begin the theory straight away.

If you would like the prospectus and course details, comment “PT” or send me a message.

“I don’t think I’d be able to coach someone.”

What if you forget?

What if they ask a question?

What if your mind goes blank?

When I spoke to Ian after he completed our course, he said something that sums up good coaching:

Good coaching is not proving how much you know.

It is listening.

Asking questions.

Finding out what someone actually wants.

And helping them move towards it.

You will not know what to say in every situation on day one.

But confidence does not come first.

Practice does.

Support does.

Feedback does.

That is why our Level 3 PT Diploma is face-to-face.

You practice coaching, cueing and adapting exercises with real people.

And slowly it starts to feel less scary.

September is full.

The next course starts Saturday 9th January 2027 in Marlborough, and you can start the theory now.

Message or comment “PT” and I will send you the prospectus.

“I’ve missed it.”

You haven’t. Well, kind of.

Our September course is now full.

The good news?

Our next face-to-face Level 3 Personal Training Diploma after that starts Saturday 9th January 2027 in Marlborough.

And you can start the theory straight away.

Anatomy.

Programming.

Nutrition.

Behaviour change.

So by the time we meet in January, you are not starting everything at once.

You have already started building the foundations.

Then the face-to-face days bring it to life.

Practicing.

Coaching.

Asking questions.

Getting feedback.

And building confidence with real people.

You do not need to arrive ready.

^^ that is kind of the point.

September is full.

January is open.

And you can start learning now.

Message or comment “PT” and I will send you the prospectus.

“Why would people want to train with me?”

Ian did our Level 3 Personal Training Diploma last year and said this when we interviewed him recently at our current intakes certificate presentation.

And I think that thought is probably far more common than people admit.

Why would somebody choose me?

What if I don’t know enough?

Am I too old to start?

What if somebody younger / older / fitter / more experienced is better?

^^ welcome to imposter syndrome

But actually, Ian’s experience has become part of what makes him a great coach.

Because the people he enjoys helping aren’t necessarily trying to get six-pack abs.

They want to stay strong.

Lift their grandchildren.

Carry the shopping.

Get up and down from the floor.

Keep walking.

Keep travelling.

Keep doing the things they enjoy as they get older.

That’s functional strength.

Personal Training isn’t about knowing everything.

Or being the youngest or oldest person in the room.

It’s about helping the person in front of you go from A to B.

Ian’s advice was basically:

Jump in with both feet.

Be prepared to do the work.

And start.

You might not know exactly who you want to work with straight away.

That can come later.

Ian started small.

He spoke to people.

Used connections he already had.

His canoe club was one of the first places he started.

And he didn’t even use social media 🤣.

No perfect business plan.

Just helping people already around him.

And learning as he went.

Sometimes we think we need everything worked out first.

Your niche.

Your branding.

Your Instagram.

Your website.

Your perfect programme.

You don’t.

Start small.

Help someone.

Learn.

Then help the next person.

And if you’re wondering whether you could become a Personal Trainer?

Like Ian said, there will be a person looking for your help….

Our September course is now full.

Our January Level 3 Personal Training Diploma is open, and you can start studying the theory now to take some of the pressure off before the practical course begins.

Message “PT” and I’ll send you the details.
