This week, the Foxes, Owls & Cool Kids were given some plain cardboard boxes, and from something so simple, we have had a fantastic week following their imaginations all the way to space!
The boxes were used as robots, then spaceships and rockets. We spoke about different stories that featured rockets, with "Whatever next" being a well-remembered favourite. Inspired by the story, they used paints and tin foil to really transform the boxes into a space-worthy rocket. Continuing with the space ideas, the children made a galaxy of stars and papier-mached a moon, under which we ate our home-made moon scones!
In other rooms, the Badgers have been testing their fine motor skills by painting with pom-poms and pegs.
The Moles have made Tropical Chia Pudding, which went down a treat! As well as enjoying large-scale painting, using hands, feet and more to explore the paint. They then had great fun getting clean with lots of bubbly water!

On Tuesday, we celebrated our wonderful, wise Owl's, as they prepare to start their next adventure at school this September.
Some may be joining us again for our Holiday Club, but they will all remain part of the Town and Country family, and we will carry with us the happy memories made with them.
No matter how long they've been with us, it has been a privilege to watch them grow, develop their unique personalities, and flourish in confidence. Every single one of your children has brought something special to our nursery, and it has been a pleasure to be part of their journey.
We would like to say a heartfelt thank you to all our families for your continued support and trust over the years. It was lovely to have you with us to share in our celebrations; it was a good job our graduation was outside as the room would not have been able to contain the pride shared by all, parents, grandparents and staff members alike!
We wish all of our Owls' children the very best as they begin school. Good luck—we know you'll all do amazingly well!
