Our PTA mission is to make the school a better place for children to learn. Raising funds for school. PARENTS & CARERS! HOW CAN YOU HELP?

YOUR CHILD NEEDS YOU TO JOIN THE PTA

In the last few years the PTA of Little Bowden School has helped to equip the computer room and the library, built the covered outdoor play area, provided a visualiser for each classroom, and has helped send the school choir to the Young Voices concert at the NEC. In addition, each year we help replace worn out classroom and play equipment. BUT to be successfu

l at raising money your PTA needs to have volunteers, as many as possible, to help run fund-raising activities each term. By giving just a little of your time when you can; make a cake, be a disco bouncer, man a barbecue, lend a hand at events, some of our more seasoned PTA members even dress up as Santa's little helpers (this is not compulsory but quite good fun!)

The PTA committee meet termly but you don't have to attend to get involved. We'll remind you of upcoming events and when we need help but if you'd like to offer your support please register your interest by emailing us your contact details to [email protected]

WHO REMEMBERS THE LITTLE BOWDEN DUCK RACE? 🦆💭

We’ve been digging through the archives and discovered these brilliant newspaper clippings from Little Bowden duck races of years gone by!

Back then, families sponsored their plastic ducks, crowds gathered along the River Jordan, and the races raised money for Little Bowden School. One article even recalls teachers having to get into the river with oars when there wasn’t enough water! 😂🦆

Now, we're bringing the tradition back with DUCKFEST 2026! 💙

But before the new generation of ducks takes to the water, we want to hear YOUR memories.

As another fantastic school year comes to a close, we'd like to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has supported the Little Bowden School PTA this year.

Today we kick off our Fund-raisin Challenge, running from Monday 8th June to Friday 12th June!

We've given you these raisins to eat,
But the empty box you must keep.
Small change is what you should earn or find,
Ask family and friends, we're sure they won't mind!
Please fill up your box, right to the top,
Return on Friday 12th June and we'll gather the lot!

Please remember to write your class on the box and return it to school on Friday 12th June.

Let’s see how full we can make those boxes, and the class who returns the most boxes wins the trophy and a treat from the PTA! Every little bit helps support our school & children. Thank you for your continued support, and happy fundraising! 💛
