MENTAL HEALTH COFFEE MORNING

You are invited to drop into the Ridgeway Primary Academy from 9.30am-10.30am on the 18th September to meet with the NHS Mental Health Support Team for Schools.

They are here to support a number of schools in the area and all parents/carers from these schools are welcome to attend.

OUR HAPPY NEW STARTERS

We are so proud of our new Foundation children who have now finished their induction days and have just had their first few full days of school.

They have settled in wonderfully, made lots of new friends and have all been really enthusiastic about their learning. We are looking forward to a great year ahead!

WHAT A FANTASTIC YEAR IT HAS BEEN!

As we reach the end of another successful school year, we'd like to thank our pupils, families, staff and wider school community for all their hard work, support and achievements.

A special congratulations to our Year 6 pupils as they prepare to begin their next adventure at secondary school. You have shown resilience, determination and kindness throughout your time with us, and we couldn't be prouder of all you have accomplished.

We wish everyone a wonderful summer filled with fun, relaxation and happy memories. We look forward to welcoming our pupils back in September and seeing what the new school year brings.

SPORTS DAY

On Friday we celebrated another brilliant MHCE sports day! A huge well done to all of the children who worked tirelessly to earn points for their house team. A big thank you to all of the wonderful supporters: parents, grandparents and families- your support is so appreciated!

Well done to our year 6 Lambert Cup winners and a thank you to our sports leaders and work experience students who helped the morning to run smoothly.

A big shout out to Mrs Roantree who organised this fantastic event!

Y5 MOVING UP DAY

Y5 spent the day gaining an insight into life at secondary school this week at Welland Park School. They took part in subjects like Science (in a proper lab), DT, French, History and Music.

All our pupils threw themselves into the day and staff at WPA commented on their excellent behaviour, impeccable manners and 'have a go' courageous attitude. Amazing effort Y5!

FLAG RAISING CEREMONY

Members of our Community Team had the privilege of attending a moving Flag Raising Ceremony in honour of fallen soldiers and war veterans ahead of Armed Forces Day on Saturday.

Alongside two other schools, local councillors, a lieutenant and Reverend Corcoran, we shared heartfelt poems, prayers, and observed a poignant minute’s silence. A powerful moment of reflection, remembrance and respect.
