💞 “Really enjoyed today I was so proud of Lola, it was the first time she's really been independent and moved away from me.”
🥰 I LOVE getting messages like this for so many reasons.
1. The pride you all have in your little ones is just amazing to see, I’m feeling it too.
2. Seeing your children develop in front of my eyes is just wonderful. Whether it’s moving out to the front on their own, banging a drum for themselves or talking or interacting with a new friend, we love to see it ALL!
3. Lola recently moved up from babies so it’s fantastic to see her settling so well into toddlers.
4. And the fact they both enjoy the classes so much?! Well that’s just the icing on the cake. 🎂🥰

😭 Mum guilt has been at an all time high today.
🤒 I’ve not been well and having three little boys on my own all day meant I HAD to get out and about for most of the day. Or, you know, WW3 breaks out.
Fights were had (not me), tempers were lost (some me 😩), jeans were ruined carrying toddler and dirty balance bike through the centre of Kibworth…
And then it all stops, they fall asleep, the guilt creeps in, you overthink, contemplate whether there’s a worst mummy out there than you.
But you know what? The fact we care SO MUCH, we love so hard, I don’t know, I think that maybe makes us the best…

🤱👶🍼 Breastfeeding awareness week!
💞 Breastfeeding is one of the main things I miss now my boys are older, the bond is so magical and something I will always remember. ✨

The first week with my first was tough, I was 22, none of my friends had had babies, I had no idea what to expect.

In hospital I wasn’t shown how to feed him and was left for hours in the middle of the night before being helped, I was alone, scared and felt like a failure in just the first few hours of motherhood. 😢

I have a mega pain threshold and yet I had to squeeze my mum’s or husband’s hand every time I breastfed, I dreaded it for the first few days. But I’m so glad I continued, it was a magical 6 months and I really looked forward to it in my subsequent pregnancies. My youngest two were absolute nightmares with reflux and colic so the 2 hour sleeps made it more of a challenge but something I will always treasure and managed a year with Jacob due to lockdown. 🥰

Whether you breastfeed, bottle feed or combi feed, those dreaded early morning feeds are so tough and SO exhausting. 😫😢 All you mums who breastfed for years, months, weeks, days, hours or chose not to at all, you’re all doing amazing!!! 🤩🤩🏆

💞 A young life taken far too soon, what happened to Alice is a tragedy, any help for this amazing charity would be gratefully received. 💔

💚 I am taking part in by covering 240 miles over 24 days in the month of August. This distance will be through walking, running, cycling, swimming, cross trainer and general life with three kids. The eldest two will be getting involved a lot during the summer holidays on their bikes and scooters too! (Any tips for that greatly appreciated 🤣.)

💚 Alice was my best friend when we were children, our weekends were full of sleepovers, making up dances, waterslides in the garden, even attempting to copy the older village boys when they decided to do a Jackass video (it ended with us getting shouted at by a cyclist). With Alice’s wicked sense of humor and vibrant personality, she made sure our childhood was full of laughter.

💚 On 12th October 2016 Alice was murdered. After a brief relationship with Trimaan Dhillon, his controlling behavior grew into relentless stalking and he cut Alice’s life short. He was later convicted on murder and sentenced to life imprisonment.

💚 Alice’s parents then set up the Alice Ruggles Trust to raise awareness of stalking and coersive behavior. It’s a charity very close to my heart and I hope to reach my goal and give as much as we can to this fantastic cause.

💞 I will always remember this moment, this was two years ago and I had a sudden urge to do something new, to push myself way out of my comfort zone.
💞 Whilst escaping the kids for a few moments on a holiday in Norfolk, I had a fleeting thought, let’s do something different.
💞 I’ve always loved children and always loved singing so decided to see what was out there, what could I do to challenge me?!
🤔 Hmmm well I’ve always dreaded presentations and hated being the centre of attention… So why not stand in front of a room of complete strangers and their children, prance around with a Pom Pom, do the Hokey Cokey and pretend to be an elephant…yeh alright!! 🤣
My confidence has grown SO much in the past year, I honestly feel like a different person than I was.
🤔 What’s the message of this post, what’s the point? Get out of your comfort zone, push yourself, do things that terrify you, you never know where it might lead… I’m SO glad I did, I’m very lucky to do what I do, I work my little bit off and absolutely LOVE it.

🌟 Parenting is so so hard and can be so lonely. I don’t know about you but I have far more thoughts of ‘I could have had more patience today’ or ‘I’m awful at this’ than ‘I’m nailing this parenting malarkey!!’

💞 I am so blessed to have such a fantastic family that are there emotionally and physically for us all no matter what.

💞 Don’t be afraid to ask for help when you need it - I definitely need to start taking this advice more too.

💞Not everyone has a village, you’re doing SUCH an amazing job, I honestly admire you so much. I’m ALWAYS here if you need to talk or just rant. I’ve got three feral boys…trust me there’s no judgement here! 🤣

🌟 And finally, I’ve said it before, go along to that group you’ve seen on socials or heard a lot about and been umming and arring about joining (again,any group, not just mine! 🤣). You never know, you may find your village there. 💞
