Burghley house is the place to be on a warm day! Lots of shade water fountains and sculptures. We had lots of fun! Had to leave slightly earlier than planned due to my son hurting his wrist unfortunately.

We've had a busy week! Lots of outdoor time, making our own ice lollies, climbing trees, water balloons, pool and water play, making playdough, using a variety of herbs and spices in the mud kitchen, pizza making etc.

This week has been a warm one so far, this is how we have been keeping cool! Lots of water, ice and fruit lollies, fruit smoothies, visiting the woods and water play.

Look who came to visit us on Thursday at the children's centre! We had a visit from a wonderful police officer named Laura . She talked to us about road safety and what to do if we got lost. She showed us her police car and even let us sit in it. We answered her questions and listened carefully to her instructions.

More bunnies! Easter baking and crafts, football target practice, animal role play, loose parts - sorting, counting, ordering, adding to sand, etc. Lovely new friendships were made and there was lots of uninterrupted play. Glad the rain stayed away! 🌧️

The children pranked me all day! Animals in the garden/sand, fake eggs, even fake poo in the trousers legs!
