Team Grove Celebrates Student Success, Resilience and Personal Achievement
The Grove School is celebrating the achievements of its Class of 2026, with students across the school demonstrating determination, resilience and significant personal progress in this year's GCSE and vocational examination results.
As with all grades there is a story of personal triumph and resilience behind each success. Students worked incredibly hard and have achieved their successes through their own commitment.

Headteacher Mitch Allsopp said:
"Today is about celebrating our students and recognising the effort that sits behind every grade achieved. Whether students have exceeded expectations, achieved their target grades or overcome personal challenges simply to reach the examination hall, every success deserves recognition. We are really proud of every student and all that they have achieved.

Grove Sixth Form Students Celebrate A Level Results Day

There was a real sense of excitement at The Grove School Sixth Form this morning as students received their A Level results and confirmed their plans for the year ahead.

Today's results mark the culmination of two years of hard work, commitment and determination. Students are now preparing to take their next steps, with many securing places at university, beginning apprenticeships, entering employment, or pursuing specialist training opportunities.

Headteacher Mitch Allsopp said:
"Results day is always one of the highlights of the school year because it is about much more than grades. It is an opportunity to celebrate the achievements, personal growth and aspirations of a fantastic group of young people. We are proud of everything they have accomplished and grateful to the staff, families and friends who have supported them along the way.

"Every student leaves us with their own story and their own ambitions. We look forward to seeing what they achieve in the future and will always be proud to call them part of Team Grove."

Students were quick to recognise the support they have received during their time in the sixth form.

One student said:
"The teachers have always been there when we've needed them. They've encouraged us to work hard, supported us through challenges and helped us believe that we could achieve our goals. It's great to see that hard work pay off."
The Grove School Sixth Form continues to provide students with a wide range of academic and personal development opportunities, helping them prepare successfully for higher education, apprenticeships and employment.

The school is also looking forward to welcoming prospective students and families to its Sixth Form Open Evening on Thursday 9 October, from 4.30pm to 6.30pm, providing an opportunity to meet staff and students and learn more about life in the sixth form.

Since the election of our School Parliament, students have made a valuable contribution to school life and the wider community. They have demonstrated leadership, teamwork and a commitment to ensuring student voices are heard.
This year, School Parliament members have:

Designed a community garden as part of a competition project.
Launched a Mock Trial debating the question,"Should there be a school uniform?". Supported the Year 8 Model United Nations Day, helping to make the event a success.
Contributed to the consultation on proposed changes to the school uniform, including the move from blazers to jumpers.
Represented the school at community events, including the Summer Fair and the Community Question Time with local leaders.

Through these initiatives, our School Parliament has played an important role in shaping school life, engaging with the local community, and promoting student leadership. We are incredibly proud of the enthusiasm and dedication they have shown and look forward to seeing what they achieve next.

🌿🎭 A Fantastic Summer Holiday Workshop! 🎭🌿
We were incredibly lucky to work closely with the Birmingham REP, who delivered an inspiring theatre workshop for our students, including our new Year 7s, during the first week of the summer holidays.
Over the course of the week, students worked hard together, developing their confidence, creativity and teamwork skills as they prepared an abridged production of The Wind in the Willows.
A huge thank you to the Birmingham REP team for providing such a memorable experience, and well done to all of the students who took part you should be incredibly proud of what you achieved
