The nursery provides a high quality service for young children between 2 years and five years of age. It is open from 8.00am to 4.00pm for 38 weeks of every year. There are two outdoor play areas - a courtyard and a large garden area to provide a range of fun and activities for the children. Children benefit from a range of activities such as story time, challenge, IT, construction play, creative play, water and sand play, obstacle courses and role play areas. Windmill Community Gardens Project
The Windmill Community Allotment Project (WCAP) is situated just 400m from the main centre, and offers training, work placement opportunities and a wide range of activities for parents and children from the community. With its partners in the NHS, the local council and other children's centres, WCAP works closely with many organisations to support the community and produce environmental products. One of these - 'Millmead Honey' - is the result of a bee-keeping project involving local young people. WCAP works to involve local people more closely with nature and its surroundings, and to enable them to experience the health benefits of working with nature.

✨ Calling all local traders, crafters and small businesses! ✨

We're looking for stallholders to join us at Millmead Community Centre's Christmas Open Day & Fair! 🎅🎄

📅 Saturday 5th December 2026
⏰ 10am – 2pm

🛍️ Stalls are just £15! 🛍️

Whether you sell handmade gifts, Christmas decorations, crafts, jewellery, festive treats or other wonderful products, we'd love you to be part of our festive event!

🎅 A fantastic opportunity to showcase your products, support local businesses and help bring the community together for a day of Christmas cheer!

Strength training class on Monday nights at Millmead Community centre £4 a class.
You can book online here:

Or you can pay £4 on the night

This class is to build muscle to help lose weight and to help reduce risk of falling.
You can do the class seated or standing and there are lots of options to accommodate any injuries.
We are using resistance bands, pilates balls and body weight exercises for a total body workout and are using a circuit style class.
