Our Year 5s were brilliant seaside buddies, helping our youngest learners explore, dig, and play safely at the beach. Smiles all around and lots of happy memories made.

🌞🏖️ Reception children are so excited to be heading to the beach next week for their end-of-term trip! 🌊

As part of their learning, they have been thinking about what they would need to take to the beach on a sunny day. They came up with some fantastic ideas, including sun cream, hats, sunglasses, towels, water bottles, buckets and spades, and lots more! ☀️🧢🕶️🪣

We can’t wait for a fun-filled day of seaside adventures and making special memories together! 🌊🐚💙

🎨 Year 1 Artists in the Making! 🌲✨

This term, our talented Year 1 pupils have been diving into the vibrant world of oil pastels! 🖍️

They started their artistic journey by mastering the tricky skill of blending, creating beautiful transitions of color. To find inspiration, the children explored a range of famous artists known for their stunning depictions of forests and wildlife. 🦌🦉

Before putting pastel to paper for their final pieces, the class developed their understanding of perspective and scale—learning how to make things look near, far big, and small. After carefully drafting their own forest-themed plans, they brought their visions to life!

We are incredibly proud of the beautiful, bright and imaginative forest artwork they created. Have a look at some of our amazing masterpieces! 🎨

The Government has launched the Great British Savings summer scheme.
🌞
From 25 June to 1 September 2026, the Government is temporarily cutting VAT from 20% to 5% on children's meals in restaurants, children and family tickets to cinemas, theatres, concerts and exhibitions, and admission to a wide range of attractions.

Combined with free bus travel during August for children aged 5 to 15 in England, families and young people will be able to enjoy experiences that make summer special.
