With the warmer weather here, I want to make sure all our little ones stay safe, cool, and happy while having fun.I’ve shared this helpful government guidance link below, which outlines how we can all look after children during hot days.
To help me keep your children safe and comfortable, please remember to pack these essentials in their daily bag:
👒 A sun hat (wide brimmed is best)
🧴 High-SPF sunscreen (labeled with their name)
💧 A labeled water bottle (so I can keep them hydrated)
Thank you so much for your support! Please let me know if you have any questions at all. 💛

This page advises those working with children on how to reduce the risks of hot weather to the health of people they provide care for. This is part of the guidance for the hazard: heat.

Wishing all the daddies a very Happy Father’s Day 💙
We’ve had a busy week getting ready, making thoughtful gifts for the children to take home. The children have enjoyed painting handprints to create shrink plastic key rings, making sweetie jars, baking cakes with plenty of sprinkles, and designing Father’s Day cards. There’s been lots of lovely conversation around “I’ll share this with daddy” and “daddy can share with me”, supporting early understanding of relationships and care in a natural, everyday way. (And yes, a bit of spoon licking definitely happened!)
Our sports day was also a highlight of the week. The children really enjoyed taking part in running, jumping, catching and throwing activities, building confidence and physical coordination. We finished with some parachute games, working together and enjoying lots of shared laughter.
We’ve also spent time exploring dinosaurs, learning their names, counting them, comparing sizes, and talking about how we might feel if we met one. This has really supported curiosity, language development and imaginative thinking.

It has been a minute since my last update, but that’s because we have been absolutely flying through our days and keeping super busy! We have been having the best time lately, and I wanted to share a little peek into what our wonderful mini-explorers have been up to (and all the brilliant things they are learning along the way!).🐛 Watching Nature Work Its MagicWe have been completely fascinated by the life cycles of frogs, bees, butterflies, and plants! It is so lovely listening to them chat about how things grow. It sparks their natural curiosity about , teaches them to respect living things, and does wonders for their vocabulary.🔢 Morning Brain Power & Little Problem-SolversOur clever little ones have been working hard on their counting skills! Morning puzzles and peg boards have become an absolute favourite way to kickstart our days. It’s fantastic for early , helping them figure out how shapes fit together while building up their concentration and patience.🎨 Getting Messy & CreativeThe art table has been packed with painting, colouring, and plenty of playdough sessions complete with cutters and rolling pins. Squeezing and rolling playdough isn't just fun—it’s amazing for , building up those tiny hand muscles and fine motor skills they will need for writing later on.🎵 Singing, Dancing & Shaking Our Sillies OutWe never miss our daily song and movement time! Getting up and dancing to our favourite rhymes is incredible for . It helps them learn new words and speech patterns, while all the jumping around keeps them active and coordinates their balance.🌱 Beach, Park, and Allotment AdventuresWe’ve been out and about soaking up the fresh air! We’ve had a couple of short visits to our allotment to check on our vegetables and see our dedicated space grow, alongside our high-energy trips to the beach and park. Exploring the community is brilliant for —they get to experience different textures like sand and soil, learn about the world around them, and build loads of confidence.

Marvellous March has been a blast! 🌼
We’ve been very busy making memories and enjoying lots of lovely activities together. We celebrated all our wonderful mummies with special crafts, and World Book Week was so much fun that one day just wasn’t enough! 📚
For Red Nose Day, we explored everything red and got creative with our activities. We also made duck food and enjoyed a trip out to feed the ducks 🦆With the sunshine starting to appear, we’ve loved getting out and about—park trips without coats (finally! ☀️), visits to our favourite groups, and plenty of fresh air.
We’ve also had some fantastic outings, including trips to Quex Museum and Wingham Wildlife Park 🐒To top it all off, we collected the keys to our new allotment, which we’re so excited to start working on together 🌱
Here’s to more adventures ahead! 💚

🌱 Exciting News 🌱
I’m really pleased to share that I’ve taken on an allotment for the children I care for! 🌼 It’s a work in progress at the moment, but the goal is to create a lovely space where they can explore, plant, and learn through nature.
To help bring this to life, I’m currently raising funds for the project 🌿
We’ll also be taking part in a fun sponsored walk on 22nd & 23rd April alongside other local childminders (lots of little steps! 👣), followed by some seed planting back at mine 🌻
I’ll be sharing a fundraising link…there’s absolutely no pressure at all to donate, but any support or shares are always appreciated.
I can’t wait to bring you along on this journey! 🌱
