And just like that, another year has come to an end with another wonderful Flutterbies Pre-school Graduation! 🎓🐞🌼

This year, the children chose a Garden Party/Bug theme, and we think we pulled it off beautifully. The weather certainly didn’t disappoint either! ☀️

As always, a huge thank you to the amazing Flutterbies team for all the hard work, dedication and love that goes into making this event so special. It takes weeks of planning, hours of setting up, and an incredible amount of teamwork to create such a memorable celebration.

To all of our wonderful families, thank you for your continued support. We truly hope you enjoyed celebrating this special milestone with us.

And finally, to our incredible little graduates… we couldn’t be prouder of each and every one of you. Watching you grow, learn and flourish has been an absolute privilege. You make every moment worthwhile, and we can’t wait to see where your next adventure takes you.

We are all incredibly pleased and proud to share that our wonderful Alice has graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a Bachelor of Arts (First Class Honours) in Early Childhood Studies.

Important Notice – Emergency Closure

Due to a burst water main in the village, our setting is currently without a water supply. We have been advised that this is unlikely to be resolved until much later today and may even continue until tomorrow.

Unfortunately, this means we have no access to safe drinking water or toilet facilities, and as a result we have had to implement an immediate emergency closure. Given the current high temperatures, we are unable to operate safely without a water supply.

Our staff are currently contacting parents and carers to arrange the collection of children who are already in attendance. We kindly ask that you collect your child as soon as possible.

We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this unexpected situation may cause and thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

☀️ Weather Update ☀️

We would like to reassure all parents that during this period of hot weather, the children's wellbeing and safety remain our top priority.
Throughout the day, we are providing regular drinking breaks, encouraging calm play, making use of shaded areas, and offering extended water play opportunities. We are also making reasonable adjustments to our daily routines to help keep everyone comfortable and protected.
To further reduce exposure to the strongest UV rays, children will remain indoors as much as possible between 11am and 3pm, when the sun is at its highest and temperatures are at their warmest. Outdoor activities during this time will be limited and carefully managed where necessary.
As always, we are closely monitoring all children, as not everyone copes with the heat in the same way.
Please ensure your child arrives with everything they need for the day, including:�🧢 A sun hat�🧴 Sun cream�👕 Suitable lightweight clothing�👚 Spare clothes�💧 A named water bottle
The heat can be challenging for both children and staff, and we appreciate your support as our team continues to work hard to keep everyone happy, healthy, and safe.
If your child will be absent today, please let us know. We hope everyone stays safe and keeps cool during this warm weather.
