The children explore the ponds together. They look for frogs and toads. We find toad spawn in the ponds for the first time this spring. We use a magnifying pot to look at the frog spawn before carefully putting it back in the pond. 🐸

World Book Day 2026! The children come in their favourite story character costumes and are excited to show their friends who they are. We share some of our favourite stories together and talk about the different characters in the books.
Outside, the children enjoy themed trays based on The Colour Monster and The Tiger Who Came for Tea. The children work together to match the colours using a variety of tools and pots.
We also enjoy our own Tiger’s tea party in the garden, sitting together in the sunshine eating lunch. It is a lovely way to bring the books to life and celebrate our love of reading together. 📚🐯🌞

After looking at some of our favourite stories “The Colour Monster” and “The Day the Crayons Quit “. We set off on an exciting colour hunt around our environment. Along the way, we search for different colours, spotted signs of spring, and had lots of fun jumping in muddy puddles! 🌷🌼

We begin our Book Week for “World Book Day” with The Gruffalo.
The children enjoy a woodland walk, we stop to listen to the story on our favourite log. We look for hidden familiar characters within the trees. 🐍 🦊 🦉 🐭

The perfect spot to enjoy a morning snack! 🍁 🌳 🪵
