Do your teams understand what the Building Safety Act means for them?

The Building Safety Act has changed the expectations around competence, accountability and responsibility across the construction industry.

Our Understanding the Building Safety Act open course helps delegates get to grips with the legislation and, importantly, understand how it relates to their role and responsibilities.
The course covers key areas including:

✓ The Building Safety Act and why it was introduced
✓ Roles, responsibilities and accountability
✓ The Building Safety Regulator
✓ Competence requirements
✓ The Golden Thread of information
✓ Higher-Risk Buildings
✓ How the changes can affect organisations and individuals

Our Open Course format is ideal if you have small groups from your company who would benefit from developing their understanding, without needing to arrange a full company course.

💻 Join remotely and learn live alongside other industry professionals.

Delivered by our trainer Mel Douglas

The Understanding The Building Safety Act is a 1 day awareness course for those in supervisory, management, compliance and leadership roles.

19/05/2026

We recently held an Understanding the Building Safety Act course at our head office for our Directors, Contracts Managers, and Quantity Surveyors.

Delivered by Workforce Skills Support, the session was specifically designed for those in leadership, management, and compliance roles across our construction and civil engineering projects.

The training focused on ensuring our team has the necessary knowledge to navigate the latest industry regulations, covering everything from the role of the new regulators to the Golden Thread and Gateway processes.

By keeping our senior team up to speed on the consequences of non-compliance and new industry competencies, we’re ensuring that Thomas Armstrong Construction continues to operate at the highest standards of safety.
