🌟A fantastic visit to Horizons Academy yesterday!

We were pleased to host members of the Nottinghamshire County Council Children and Families Select Committee, who learned more about our progress since opening in January 2026. Principal Lee Beesley shared updates on the academy’s development, before guests toured the facilities and met some of our wonderful students.

What a great week we've have had!⭐

In ideas lab this week we experimented on with different sounds to create their own beat, which then developed into exploring and creating rhythms.🎶

We had a fantastic time in food technology making scrambled eggs on toast which everyone loved! 🫶

In English we have been exploring the story of pandora's box and have had so much fun designing and creating are own versions. 🎨🖌

As part of recycle week, we joined a webinar from the Nottinghamshire recycling team to learn more about how our rubbish is sorted and recycled.

We really enjoyed seeing what happens to our recycling when it arrives at the recycling centre! 🚛♻️ We also completed some fun activities linked to what we had learned.
