🏖️ Oh I do like to be beside the seaside ☀️

This has definitely been our favourite theme so far this year. There was so many interactive resources for the children to play with.

A few of the favourites

🏖️ Fishing with the net’s.. my little one was very amused watching the other’s fish around her 💛

🌊 the very very large inflatable ball and boat was a big hit - the children enjoyed rolling on their tummy’s on it, we had to practice waiting for our turn!

🏝️ Kimie singing ‘ oh I do like to be beside the seaside’ - everyone was rather amused with the new song.

🐟 We can’t forget those pesky seagull’s they was flying off with hat’s and eating fish! There was also so many of them we had to count them all!

🐍 White Post Farm 🐐

Visiting one of our favourite places when it’s the holidays is always a very different kind of day avoiding the busy crowds, and the children not being able to have the freedom they would usually be able to have but we still had such a lovely day together.

We started off playing in the tiny town, added bonus that we had it to ourselves too ❤️

For the first time in a while we visited the Rodent room, not going to lie it gave me the creeps when I saw the size of the rat and the tarantula however the children really enjoyed having to look closely to spot the creatures that was hiding away in there. We moved onto the reptile house afterwards and watched the fishes, spending some time talking about colours and counting them together. Our favourite snake was all curled up having a snooze.

We went for a picnic and then for a walk up the field where the children always love to have a good run into the open space towards the sheep and goat’s. Today we took some food to feed them and I just love the confidence some of the children have with the animals. We came across a super big goat which we’ve never spotted before he even posed for a photo for us 😂

Finished the day having a little play and for some a nap on the park before heading to see the wallaby’s before heading home.

Always have the best days on the farm 🐮 🐐 🐑

☀️ Rufford Abbey -Summer trail 🌈

We’ve had a lovely morning completing the summer trail. The children had a lovely stroll around the abbey garden hunting for 25 sunshine’s.

We ticked them off our activity sheet along the way as we found them and spotted lots of different insects too. 🕷️ 🦅 🐛 🐞

Afterwards we had a little play in the sandpit, we spent some time playing hide and seek with the dinosaurs which the children really enjoyed doing. Then had a walk around to the big swing as the park was very busy to play on today. 🦕 🦖

We finished the day with a picnic and enjoyed chasing bubbles before heading home. 🫧

The sun was shining with a sprinkle of rain occasionally ☀️ 🌧️

☀️ Summer of Play ☀️

Today we’ve spent the day at Clumber park exploring and having fun together. The children did lots of brilliant walking and holding hands together too.

The loose part area was perfect for the little ones the children enjoyed making their own courses to run the balls down and lining up the pipes, stacking & balancing blocks high.

The hay bale’s was fun, the children demonstrated confidence walking across them all, we talked about the importance of waiting and giving our friends space to ensure we was being safe.

There was lots of opportunities to practise our balancing skills, walking across the big tyres and taking the stepping stones, there was lots of little obstacle courses around to take turns on with a little help from Kimie where needed.

The little sensory walk was a big hit especially for my little crawler, she particularly enjoyed the big stones and crawling across the different textures!

It’s been such a fun day all round. 💛

Just to clarify all these children do not belong to me Laura joined me for the day and her children was present too 😅

A sunny day at our favourite place ☀️
It’s been such a lovely day, we’ve taken a stroll up the field’s fed some animals, counted the cow’s and pigs and had a little chat with the sheep & goats. Then headed into the Wallaby walkabout, before heading to the cafe for lunch. We spent some time playing together in the sand pit and finished the day visiting the bird’s, fish and meerkats! 🐮 🦉 🐟 🐷

Looking forward to visiting the sensory room and exploring the new theme next week with the children. 🦁 🐘 🐯 🙈

It’s been a splash park kind of day today at Kimie’s. We’ve been enjoying the sunshine safely, keeping cool and having fun in the water 💦 ☀️

2026 so far ..

It’s been a busy few months and we’ve been having lots of fun.

Weekly trips to some of our favourite places (perk’s of having annual passes.. gives us lots of flexibility and opportunities each week!

We have had lot’s of fun through out April fo Easter, played some party game’s and dancing, Easter crafting, trails and of course lots of egg hunts! We was lucky enough to see a baby lamb being born at the farm too 🐑 🐰

We’ve also been trying out the sensory room and exploring the new themes each month which have been a big hit with the children. We’ve visited different soft plays and mastered new climbing skills! The children are enjoying weekly walk’s in the woods with Bluey too who has enjoyed slowly getting to know the children 🤎 🐾 🐶
