Year 6 SATS revision session this morning looking at some fractions, decimals and percentages homework and reading skills followed by a quick fire practical times tables session preparing for the Year 4 MTC. Excellent work for half term 😁 🌟 🔢

Learning how to multiply a pair of fractions and simplify the answer then applying our skills to solve puzzles 🧩 Blown away by brilliant learning in this session 🌟 Multiplication and division facts knowledge are the key to having a secure understanding of fractions ✔️

Great work practicing both our times tables and our skimming and scanning skills with a bingo style game this morning 🎲 ✖️ 🎲

Amazing work this morning from my super Sunday squad. Two brilliant sessions focusing on the 3 times tables: counting in multiples of 3, using Numicon to help spot patterns, recalling our 3 times tables and playing times tables card games where we each turn a card and multiply the numbers to find the product. Fantastic progress being made 🔢🧮

🍎Welcome to SLC Tutoring!🍎

I’m Sarah - a private tutor based in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. I’m a qualified primary teacher with 12 years experience in local schools. I have taught across Key Stage 1 and 2, predominantly in KS2, with a wealth of experience teaching in Year 6!

Alongside my teaching role, I also lead maths across my school and support other teachers to develop their teaching of mathematics. I am also a marker of KS2 Maths SATs so have lots of handy hints and tips to help children sitting the tests before they leave primary school.

My tutoring sessions are aimed at primary aged children and aim to reinforce what children are learning in school and provide children with the skills, vocabulary and knowledge to master their learning with confidence.

I can support with SATS revision, Maths and English work, and homework if required. I can share testimonials from parents of children I currently tutor and from those who I have worked with in the past.
