On Friday I’ll be taking part in the Nottingham 10k shine walk for cancer research UK.

Many of you already know that we lost my sister Rebecca to cervical cancer in 2009. Scientific research of medical advancement saw the introduction of the HPV vaccine in the years after that and subsequently the rates of cervical cancer in those vaccinated has radically declined as a result. I can only hope this research is able to continue and that new treatments or vaccines for other kinds of cancers can be developed as time goes on causing less of us to suffer through the heartache of losing someone dear to us.

I’m not one for exercise, surprisingly, ha ha and 10k may not seem very much to some, but it is something to me. If you would like to donate, please follow the link and donation big or small is one step closer to keep in those as we love here on earth.

Also ladies…please, please, please make sure you check yourself…upstairs and downstairs and go to the doctor if you have any concerns. I promise it’s nothing they haven’t seen before, they will try to make it as dignified as possible and it’s worth the red face for the 5 minutes it takes them to look.

TinyTalk baby signing classes are fun, interactive sessions designed to help babies communicate before they can talk and support toddler development once those words arrive. Through simple British Sign Language (BSL) signs, songs, rhymes, stories and play, little ones learn useful signs for everyday words such as milk, more, finished, mummy, daddy and much more.

Each 1-hour class is split into two parts. The first 30 minutes is a teacher-led session packed with singing, signing, stories and activities for your little one to enjoy and learn from.

The second 30 minutes is all about relaxing and socialising. Babies can explore and play with lots of toys and books, while parents can enjoy a nice hot drink and a biscuit and have a chat with other parents. It’s a lovely opportunity to meet new people, make friends and enjoy some quality time together in a welcoming, relaxed environment. 💕

🎸 Living my absolute ROCK & ROLL lifestyle… cleaning books for the autumn term. 🤘📚

While some people might be out partying, having the time of their lives, I’m here wiping down board books like the librarian of cleanliness. 😂

But honestly, when you’ve got babies and toddlers getting their tiny hands, mouths and mysterious sticky fingers all over everything, keeping our books clean and fresh matters! 🧼👶📖

So here I am, living the dream… one disinfected book at a time. 😎

Just casually doing the weekly shop… 👀🛒

If anyone saw me walking around the supermarket with this trolley, they’d probably assume I was preparing for the apocalypse, opening a biscuit shop, or simply had a very serious problem. 😂🍪

The reality? Classes start back next week, and apparently this is what “getting prepared” looks like when you’re responsible for keeping everyone suitably refreshed! 😆

I must admit, even I looked slightly concerned pushing this trolley around. 😂

But I promise… every single biscuit, snack and refreshment is for you! ❤️
