I feel the time has come to not only approach education differently but also to help change the stress associated with school for both children and parents. The time is right to create a different kind of environment that puts children's needs at the centre of all that is done. Children being punished for not wanting to sit in a chair all morning is not a culture that should be encouraged. Taking away breaks form energetic children because they are energetic is counter intuitive. Time for change.

Books can only go so far, experience is the best teacher.

I am relaunching this page and will be launching a social enterprise early next year. More information will follow as I tie up loose ends, but I can say it will be based around forestry sessions. Hello to all you parents out there, you are all doing a wonderful job. The question is are your children's schools also doing a wonderful job? ●Do they instil the same values as you?
● Do you believe that children are more than a score?
●Do you believe there should be more to school than regurgitating information taught in a way that doesn't suite your child?
● Do you believe all skills and talents should be celebrated?
●Do you believe that emotional wellbeing should be considered as much as academics?
●Do you believe that children should be taught in a person centred way?

What do you want from a school? What would an ideal day look like for you and your child? What do you value the most in your child's education? What don't you want from a school?
