The Den - Out of School Club

Lunch today PoFfles the children had a lovely Lunch and enjoyed their Jam sandwiches and Jacket Potatoes. Thank you for having us.
Then back at the Den some of the Children made some beautiful flowers out of pipe cleaners!

Week 3 of the holidays, the children love the makeover at the Den, also a lovely morning spent at Mansfield Wildlife Rescue UK Thank you so much for having us and the lovely lunch you prepared for the children, we loved it 😻 ❤️

The children have had a fabulous time learning about lots of different animals, had a lovely lunch and a play on the park.

This week at the Den, the children enjoyed a trip to Lotties Bakery where they decorated biscuits, followed by a picnic and park play, Also we visited Littleroots Childrens Allotment, the children did some gardening, played some games and did some crafts, then they decorated their own plant pots. ❤️😃

This morning for Itallian day, we had lots of fun crafting our own Itallian cuisine of pizza, pasta and of course, chicken nuggets 😋

Today we've enjoyed playing lots of Sports and parachute games followed by a glorious picnic! 😋

Then this afternoon we tried our hand at making Bubble Dough!

The Den so far this week, we have made the most of the dry weather and visited lots of local parks and outdoor spaces, there has been crafting, gaming, movies , den building and bakery treats 😋 and lots more.

International Tiger Day 🐅

Today the children have enjoyed celebrating national tiger day!
They've made Tiger Masks, baked and decorated Tiger paw print biscuits and chilled with ice creams whilst watching the Tigger Movie 🎥 🍨

As we come to the end of one of the hottest weeks of the year, Michael and I wanted to take a moment to recognise the incredible people who make our nurseries so special.

To our amazing staff across Mansfield Woodhouse, South Normanton, The Discoverers 🪲🐜🤎 and The Den… thank you.

This week has been challenging, but your commitment to the children has never wavered. You’ve adapted routines, moved children into our air-conditioned rooms to keep them comfortable, made sure everyone stayed hydrated, changed activities to suit the weather, worked alongside our cook to adapt menus, and continually checked on one another as well as the children.

Through the heat, you’ve continued to provide smiles, cuddles, reassurance, laughter and endless care. The children have remained happy, safe and loved because of your dedication.

To our wonderful families, we know you entrust us with your most precious people every single day, and we hope you’ll join us in saying a huge thank you to our incredible team. Their passion, kindness and commitment often go unseen, but they truly go above and beyond to ensure every child has the very best day, whatever the circumstances.

To our team… we see every early start, every extra mile, every kind gesture and every act of teamwork. We couldn’t be prouder of you, and we are so grateful to have such an incredible nursery family.
