Last week, Magpies class had a fabulous time visiting the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. They learnt about many different artists, exploring their sculptures and asked thoughtful questions. In the afternoon, the children became sculptors themselves, building their own sculpture from natural and recycled materials.

Robin’s class had a fantastic trip to Yorkshire Sculpture Park!
The children had an amazing time exploring the sculptures, learning about different artists, and taking part in fun activities inspired by the artwork around the park. They also got creative and made their own sculptures, using the ideas and inspiration they had gathered during the visit. It was wonderful to see so much imagination, teamwork, and enthusiasm throughout the day. 💫

We wanted to send a huge thank you to the team of volunteers who joined us for our recent gardening event. Thanks to your hard work, the "big clear-out" was a total success! The area looks fantastic and are officially prepped and ready for some new life. 💐

Now that the ground is clear, it’s time to move on to phase two. To make the area truly beautiful, we are looking for donations of old flower pots. We are looking for medium to large pots made from stone, terracotta, or ceramic. Once we’ve gathered our pots, the children will take the lead on planting. They’ll be choosing flowers and greenery to tuck into these containers, which will then be arranged throughout our new area. 🌿🌻🌞

Thank you for continuing to grow this project with us!
