Practicing mindfulness isn’t just for the Buddhists!
When waking up in the AM, instead of thinking about the upcoming stresses of the day ahead, give attention to the physical elements of your morning routine. Feel the water on your skin when you shower, smell the shampoo and soap, notice how your brush feels on your hair, and hear the sound your toothbrush makes rubbing against your teeth.
Mindfulness teaches to be present in and embrace the moments of life, rather than be suffocated by the constant self-criticism and anxiety that so often engage our minds.

Read recommendation from with · · · THE CHIMP PARADOX.
Hey guys, I hope you’re all having a great week so far😊. I want to share the next in the series of books 📚that have shaped my life in some way. This one is becoming a bit of a classic already and is well worth a read. Personally I think it’s great for coaches, professionals and the everyday person can get a lot out of it. .
Dr Peters has built a great reputation from his work with the GB cycling team and England football team, and I believe he used a lot of what’s in this book whilst working with them. .
The VERY basic premise of this book is that the 'chimp' in our mind (our limbic system, our emotional part of the brain) can be our good buddy or worst enemy. The 'human', or conscious part of our mind, makes decisions which are far more logically and without so much emotion, and battles with the 'chimp' part of our brains to get its way. Dr Peters says once you understand this, you can control and manage you rmind and live a happier, more confident, and healthier life. It also has illustrations throughout and is written in a witty kind of way which makes it an easier read.
