Celebrating our Class of 2026!

What a morning at St Bede’s. 💙

We couldn’t be prouder of our Upper Sixth students as they celebrate an incredible set of A Level results, exceeding their baseline predictions by the largest margin in the College’s history.

⭐ Over a third of all grades awarded at A* or A
⭐ Nearly three quarters awarded at A* to B
⭐ 97% secured their chosen university places
⭐ A fifth of students achieved three A grades or above

Behind every result is so much hard work, determination and ambition. It has been a privilege to watch this year group grow into confident young people, ready for everything that comes next.

Congratulations, Bedian Class of 2026. Wherever life takes you next, you’ll always be part of St Bede’s. 💙

Once a Bedian, always a Bedian.

What a way to celebrate an incredible first year in the College!

Last week, our Upper Third pupils took over the school fields for a day packed with fun, laughter and a little friendly competition. From inflatable challenges and form competitions to a giant water fight tournament, there was no shortage of energy or Bedian spirit.

Whether they were beginning their Bedian journey this year or continuing it from our Prep School, it was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate an important milestone together. With ice creams, teammates cheering each other on and plenty of smiles all round, it was a fitting way to round off a fantastic first year in the College.

We wish all of our Upper Third pupils a wonderful summer and look forward to welcoming them back in September for another exciting year at St Bede’s.

What a wonderful way to end the academic year.

Yesterday’s Celebration Assembly recognised the incredible achievements of our pupils across every aspect of school life, from academic excellence and sporting success to the kindness, commitment and character that define our Bedian values.

It was a chance to celebrate not only awards and achievements, but also the resilience, determination and quiet acts of service shown throughout the year. We are so proud of everything our pupils have accomplished and the way they continue to inspire one another.

Congratulations to all of our award winners, and thank you to every member of our Bedian community for making this such a memorable year. Once a Bedian, always a Bedian. 💙

As we come to the end of another wonderful school year, our Bedian community gathered together in celebration, thanksgiving and prayer at our End of Year Mass.

A heartfelt thank you to Deacon Paul Griffin for his thoughtful homily, inspired by the words of Saint John Henry Newman:

“God has created me to do Him some definite service.”

He encouraged our pupils to reflect not only on their future vocation, but also on how they can live out their Bedian values over the summer. Keeping in touch with friends, helping their parents, making peace where it is needed, visiting grandparents and showing kindness in the everyday moments are all ways of continuing to be Bedian beyond the College gates.

To all of our pupils, thank you for your hard work, your enthusiasm and the Bedian spirit you have shown throughout the year. You have made us incredibly proud.

We wish all of our families a peaceful, restful and joy-filled summer. We look forward to welcoming you back in September.
