This week, Adventure Green learners took part in our first virtual field trip of the summer with the team at Whipsnade Zoo!
We met Marcus from the ZSL Learning Team and learned all about reticulated giraffes, including their diet, behaviour, conservation, and why breeding programmes are important for endangered species.
Along the way, we discovered more about rhinos, otters, bush dogs, and tigers, while hearing about careers in zoos and conservation.
We were so proud of all of our learners who were so engaged and asking amazing questions throughout.
Thank you to Marcus and the team at Whipsnade Zoo!
Next up, on 9th June, learners will be meeting Hussain from CompostIt! to explore eco-friendly composting and learn how food waste can be transformed into something useful.

The final Level 1 Conservation activity boxes are on their way!
Over the next few days, learners will be receiving the last box of activities for this year's programme, packed with practical tasks to support their learning and bring conservation topics to life at home.
From planting and wildlife activities to quizzes and hands-on challenges, these boxes are a big part of what makes Adventure Green learning engaging, accessible, and fun.

Next month, our Level 2 Conservation Programme learners will be taking a virtual trip to the United Nations!
The virtual tour links closely with topics covered throughout the Level 2 Conservation Programme, helping learners connect their studies to real-world environmental issues and international action.
We love giving learners opportunities to hear from experts, explore new places, and see how conservation and sustainability are being addressed on a global scale.

A huge congratulations to our Level 2 Conservation Programme learners 🌿🥳
15 learners have now successfully completed and passed their first qualification, the Level 2 Award in Environmental Sustainability.
Over the past few months, they've explored topics including sustainability, natural resources, communities, and environmental impact through a mix of live sessions, practical activities, and flexible online learning.
This is a fantastic achievement and an important milestone on their Level 2 Conservation journey 🥰

🌿 Meet the Team - Helen
Helen is one of our Course Facilitators and plays a key role in delivering our Conservation programmes.
Many learners know Helen through her weekly Zoom sessions, helps bring topics like sustainability, biodiversity, conservation, and environmental responsibility to life!
One of the things we love most is how Helen helps learners see that conservation isn't just something we study, it's something we can all play a part in.

While our learners enjoyed a well-earned break last week, we've still been busy behind the scenes getting ready for the months ahead.
This half term has included:
📞 Discovery calls with parents exploring options for September and October
🌅 A very early 5am walk last week, with some incredible morning light and a reminder of why nature is at the heart what we do
🎥 Filming new content for Adventure Green courses, helping bring conservation, sustainability, and nature connection topics to life for our learners
📦 Preparing resources, planning activities, and getting everything ready for the next stages of our programmes
We're looking forward to welcoming learners back this week!
And sharing some exciting upcoming activities, including our virtual field trips and more.

Planning ahead for September or October? 🌿
We know flexibility matters for families, which is why Adventure Green offers a range of payment options to help make things more manageable.
You can currently secure your child’s place with a £49 enrolment, with no further payments until September, alongside flexible 12 and 18 month payment plans.
Many families choose to enrol early so their child can begin receiving welcome materials, postcards, updates, and support ahead of the course starting, helping everything feel more familiar and settled before day one.
If you’d like to explore the different options available, feel free to get in touch or head to our website: https://www.adventuregreen.co.uk/

We help learners build confidence by creating a supportive environment where they can explore topics that genuinely interest them.

A little bit of Adventure Green has been arriving through letterboxes this week 🌿
We've been busy sending welcome postcards to learners who have already secured their places for September and October.
Starting something new can feel like a big step, so we love finding small ways to help learners feel part of the Adventure Green community before their course even begins.
It's all part of the journey - from accessing welcome packs and postcards, to activity boxes, inductions, and eventually starting their course alongside other young people who share similar interests.
We can't wait to welcome this year's learners and see where their Adventure Green journey takes them 🌱

Meet the Team - Georgina
If you’ve joined an Adventure Green discovery call, asked a question via WhatsApp, or needed support during a course, there’s a good chance you’ve already spoken with Georgina.
As our Learning Coordinator, Georgina plays a huge role in supporting learners and families throughout their Adventure Green journey.
From helping parents explore the right course options, to guiding learners through assessments, mock exams, and course activities, Georgina helps make the whole experience feel approachable, supportive, and manageable.
Parents and learners often comment on how kind, calm, and encouraging she is especially when young people are building confidence or trying something new.
Behind the scenes, Georgina is also busy organising activity packs, supporting live sessions, and making sure learners feel connected every step of the way 🌱
