How do we keep online learning interesting, practical and accessible?

Throughout our Level 1 Award in Conservation, learners explore habitats, wildlife, food chains, biodiversity and the ways people can help protect the natural world.

Online learning is combined with live sessions, quizzes and practical activities delivered to your door that encourage learners to get outdoors, observe what's around them and put their knowledge into practice.

By the end, learners haven't just worked towards a recognised Level 1 qualification. They've built their knowledge of conservation, explored new interests and developed skills they can take into further study and everyday life.

The Open Awards Level 1 Award in Introduction to Forest School Principles gives young people the opportunity to gain a nationally recognised qualification in something they're genuinely interested in.

Alongside developing their understanding of Forest School and outdoor learning, it can demonstrate commitment, initiative and an interest beyond the classroom to future colleges, volunteering organisations and employers.

And for young people interested in Forest School, conservation, sustainability, education or outdoor careers, it can provide a recognised first step towards what comes next. 🌱

At Adventure Green, we give young people the opportunity to work towards nationally recognised qualifications.

But it goes much further than that.

Learners explore their own relationship with nature, discover how spending time outdoors can support wellbeing, develop mindfulness and grounding skills, and consider how their everyday choices can have a positive impact on the natural world.

Through a mix of online learning, practical activities, conservation projects and time spent outdoors, learners can begin applying what they've learned in their everyday lives and local communities.

The qualification is an important outcome, but our learners leave with confidence, awareness, practical skills and a connection with nature that benefits them long after the course ends 🌿

Green Skills is back this September!

Our Green Skills AQA unit Award Programme starts again on 14th September, giving young people aged 7-18 to chance to explore sustainability through a combination of online learning and practical, hands-on activities!

Perfect if your child has a sibling studying with Adventure Green but aren't quite ready for qualifications themselves, or if you are just curious about what learning looks like at Adventure Green 🌿

Across five AQA units, learners will explore climate change, the circular economy, wildlife and marine conservation, renewable energy and environmental action.

They'll build a solar-powered car, experiment with bioplastics, and much more!

A huge congratulations to 40 Adventure Green learners who have now completed their Level 2 Award in Nature Connection & Wellbeing! 🥳

Over the course, learners have explored nature connection, wellbeing, mindfulness, urban nature, conservation behaviours and green careers, while building their portfolios through practical activities and reflection.

Young people don't all learn in the same way, so we don't expect them to. Across our programmes, we combine flexible online learning, optional live participation, practical activities and ongoing support, giving learners different ways to engage and show what they know.

Feedback like this is always lovely to receive and a great reminder of why flexibility matters.

🌿 Behind the scenes at Adventure Green… We’ve been busy updating our qualifications ready for autumn!

Alongside our existing virtual field trips, conservation projects and talks from conservation and industry experts, we’re adding optional extension activities and specialist academic sessions for learners who want to go further.

Our core qualifications and high level of support remain the same, making Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications accessible to young people with a wide range of needs, while providing additional challenge for those who want it.
