Last year, the children enjoyed listening and sharing these 2 books in class and it would be lovely to see this continue at home too. Reading with our children is so important. ☀️💦 Summer Fun Days at Nursery! 💦☀️

What better way to keep cool in the sunshine than with lots of water, laughter and fun with our friends! 🥰

Our children have been making the most of the warm weather with plenty of outdoor water play. From paddling pools and ball pool fun to pouring, splashing, jumping and even enjoying a few exciting water fights! 💦😂

Water play is not only great fun, but also gives children wonderful opportunities to learn through their play. They can explore pouring, filling, emptying, measuring and cause and effect, while developing coordination, confidence and independence.

Most importantly, our little ones have been enjoying being outdoors, having fun together, sharing experiences and making those lovely summer memories with their friends. 🌈❤️

Lots of smiles, lots of splashes and plenty of summer fun! ☀️💦👫

🧩✨ Learning Through Play: Fine Motor Fun! ✨🧩

Our preschool children have been busy developing their fine motor skills through lots of fun, hands-on activities! 💕

From shape sorters and jigsaws to Lego, dominoes, blocks, small world play and Popoids, every activity provides opportunities for children to learn, explore and develop important skills through play.

But it’s not just about developing physical skills! Through play, children are also thinking, experimenting, making choices, communicating, imagining and solving problems. They learn by trying things out, making mistakes, adapting their ideas and celebrating their successes. 🌟

Whether they are carefully fitting a piece into a jigsaw, connecting Popoids, building a tower with blocks, sorting shapes or creating an imaginary small world, play is helping children build the skills and confidence they need for future learning. ❤️

Because when children are having fun, they’re learning too! 🌈

We have had an fantastic summer term with the children. The weather was amazing, we had so many different activities, events and not forgetting, many of our children have graduated pre school and are heading to big school for new adventures.

We wish you all the very best and we know you will all be amazing and love the new experiences coming your way.

We will be sharing photos and videos of the summer term - we did so much and look forward to sharing these last memories of our pre school year.

We will re-open on Monday 7th September where we will welcome back some of our current families and also we welcome new families too. We are really looking forward to seeing you all again very soon. Enjoy your summer holidays. X

Our lovely support worker Gemma, is not only a qualified teacher but she is an amazing author. Gemma has written 4 books - Trust Me , A Mother's Sacrifice, Our Little Lies and Eyes of Glass, selling over 50,000 books worldwide.
Now after 2 years in the making, Gemma and her co-author Liz have ventured into writing children's books, Monty and Maisy.

Gemma, who co-parents her son Jude, was frustrated by the lack of diverse family representation in children’s books. That’s why Gemma and Liz created Stories Like Ours.

They believe every child deserves to see their world reflected in vibrant, high-quality storybooks. Families come in all shapes and sizes and children should be able to recognise themselves and their lives in the stories they read.
Monty and Maisy following fun, adventurous siblings co-parented by Mum and Dad as they enjoy everyday and extraordinary adventures together.

We are lucky to have 2 signed copies for nursery and can't wait to share the stories with our children.
