One of my favourite notifications - in its eyebrow raising power - this year! A LinkedIn recommendation (I think that’s what they’re called?)

The call-out is that it’s from a pal-that-started-as-a-peer.

We assume feedback should be from someone we’ve exchanged money with; provided a service to. Yet these words (pictured) are from a professional I rate massively - and granted, I worked alongside years prior - but who knows me professionally and personally.

Spontaneously sent, after a chat that was informal, and joyful.

Would you ask a pal for feedback?

You’ll say no, so tell me, WHY NOT?v?

🎵think I’ve used this multiple times recently. The lyrics! I love this artist! Kimo Sounds

A yoga class is a whole lot of things.
One of those things is that it’s 60-minutes where somebody else will make every. Single. Goddamn. Decision 👌

The September event was a HIT! This is a lesser-talked-about event which started as a trial around my kitchen table. It was a hit and a joy, and the September event followed suit, and the feedback about the experience from each and every attendee, positive and powerful.

Using visual reminders to influence our daily lives is an exercise that’s too-often gets discounted as woo-woo, but is a hugely useful primer for ambitious people with over-worked brains.

I get surprising clarity through letting my brain be calm and creative this way. It can bring far more than an effortful “sit down and think”.

As a certified coach, the science bit:
💡 Tactile, hands-on work engages the brain differently to typing or scrolling.

💡 Physical, sensorimotor activity alongside cognitive activity is powerful.

💡 Images and colour get processed and remembered differently. Dual-coding theory: information encoded both visually and verbally sticks better than either alone.

💡 Surrounding yourself with the images of what you want is priming. Our subconscious mind has huge influence over us, let’s utilise it!

💡 Instinct alongside analysis. This exercise champions instinct which is too commonly ignored as not valuable. WRONG.

💡 Positive emotion broadens what your brain can generate.

This event is underpinned by my constant and passionate belief: When we feel alive as people, we bring the BEST of ourselves to our professions.

Next one is Wed 4th November and it’s actually💥sold out!💥

Like an attendee said last week “it’s like 2 hours of Coaching, with stickers!”.

I’m going to get my calendar out and plan in another one. Get on my newsletter for waitlist? 🔗📧 https://dashboard.mailerlite.com/forms/928918/120036240372270788/share

A few little-big things keep my tiny corner of the business world alive, and these ain’t in the business plan! (What business plan? 🙃)

These may sound indulgent but are genuine medicine and process to me.

🫶🏼Walking. Esp on laptop days. Which I don’t always prioritise and never do I not regret that stupid decision.

🫶🏼The friends who body double with me over coffee or zoom, so I actually get finances done (its been ages Sally so can we please….)

🫶🏼The pals (and clients) who ask “how’s it really going” and mean it. Weirdly (and kindly) that’s rare. And then I feel like I’m saying too much or too little because, to them, y’know, WERK.

🫶🏼There’s a gorgeous bunch of people supporting me directly and indirectly. Weird to think I created it all from zilch, but VERY GOOD WEIRD 😂👌

Big love to my pals and business pals tinkering in my tiny world. (I tried to tag my main crew but insta won’t let me this morning (?) so I’ll return to that later!) Apart from missing g the IT dept normalised in corporate-world, who’d have thought this solo business owner thing would be the best move EVER!?

What biggies did I miss here? 💭
I’m not averse to borrowing other people’s systems; love a test-and-learn! 👀☺️

Self awareness isn’t fluff, it’s fuel!

Who’s with me at the back! 🎤

What’s the first thing you remember learning about yourself that shocked you?

Mine: That my speed meant people weren’t hearing the “95% is amazing” part, I was jumping straight to the “let’s fix the 5%” part and got left wondering why my excitement wasn’t shared…. 🙄 (I changed!)

I’ve had some help this summer, putting your incredible words into something sharable 🙏🏼

Here is a testimonial from a lovely client, a non-local, talking about my Wednesday Online Yoga class. From someone who knows chronic conditions better than I share day to day, this means extra. Those morning practises, which are going to become darker, and in a way, even more special, they boost me more than I ever expected!

🌅I find them hard, but rewarding.

🌅I find them blurry but brilliant.

🌅I find them early, but energising!

Thanks to my clients, all of you, who feedback and put google reviews out into the world. Your authentic words go way further than any of my efforts (that are then never in date because it takes me ages…) 🫶🏼

THANKS.

And it takes a very little thumb movement to ‘like’ or share small business posts. We need your help, to support, share and shout (or whisper) as readily as you can about small businesses, services and shops that you rate. We are massively grateful! 🫶🏼

Also, come to a Wednesday morning Online Yoga session soon!!

💥It’s 6:45am for 45 mins.
💥Every Wednesday.
💥On Zoom

An alarm, yes, but intentional movement and less than an hour to yourself? GOLDEN.

“Clear thinker” is not a description I’d have given myself! Often the case, right? We don’t see this stuff. We prefer to focus on the negative stuff, the gaps, the problems.

As I support leaders in an organisation this month,it reminds me that the traits that people see so clearly in others, are often not traits people can see in themselves, nevermind align with.

We can be blind to our greatest strengths - and that’s criminal, right?!

In this specific case (the organisation, j mean), I don’t know if that’s the case yet, but us humans, generally, assume our blind spots are our NEGATIVE gaps.

If we’re being blind to our positive traits whilst eagerly looking for the negative ones… we’re probably going to find the sh*t aren’t we? Hmmmm 🤔

If this is perking your curiosity neurons, send me a message because highlighting the great bits is my forte! 💥
