This session will explore prevention, family influence, healthy habits, and how everyday choices shape our long-term health. Because living well goes beyond food alone.

We look forward to learning, sharing, and growing with you throughout the month.

Healthy living is rarely about one big change. Most times, it is the small decisions we make daily that shape our wellbeing over time.

Choosing balance.
Trying again.
Showing up for yourself consistently.

Progress may feel slow sometimes, but growth is still happening.

What is one small healthy habit you are
focusing on this month?

Following the success of our first Beyond Food session, we’re continuing the conversation with a new online event focused on diabetes, prevention, family influence and the habits that shape long-term health.

Beyond Food: Diabetes, Family & Prevention is a community-centered conversation exploring how awareness, support systems and early habits can help build healthier futures.

Join us on June 27 as we discuss prevention, lifestyle habits, family support and community awareness in a warm and culturally relevant space.

So many people only begin to understand diabetes after a diagnosis, but awareness should not start there.
More open conversations can lead to earlier support, better health decisions, less stigma, and stronger communities.

At Life Beyond Diabetes, we believe education should feel accessible, honest, and everyday, not something people only search for in difficult moments.

Because conversations have the power to change outcomes.
Join us for our next virtual conversation as we continue discussing health, lifestyle, and life beyond diagnosis.

đź“… Date: 27th of June, 2026
⏰ Time: 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM (GMT +1)

Parenting a child with Type 1 diabetes comes with constant learning and adjustment, and sometimes the emotional side of it gets overlooked.

Beyond insulin, meals, and glucose checks, children also need reassurance, patience, and space to still feel like children.

Small things like the way corrections are communicated, how food conversations happen, and how independence is introduced can shape how a child
feels about themselves and their condition over time.
Supportive environments matter just as much as medical care.

Rest is not a reward you have to earn.

Some days, taking care of yourself looks like slowing down, saying no, logging off, or simply giving your mind and body a moment to breathe. That does not make you unproductive. It makes you human.

Especially when living with diabetes, your well-being matters just as much as your to-do list.
Save this for the week ahead. 🤍

Small nutrition changes can make a big difference with your health.

Add more fiber, choose protein with every meal, and keep your portions realistic. No extreme dieting, just smarter daily choices.

Save this for later and share with someone who needs it.

Healthy eating doesn’t have to be boring.
It can still be tasty, colourful, and satisfying, even with diabetes.

It’s not about eating plain food or cutting out everything you enjoy. It’s about learning smarter swaps, better portions, and meals that actually keep you full.

Your plate can look good and still support your blood sugar.

Tea can be a simple daily habit that supports hydration, digestion, and calm, especially on days when diabetes management feels overwhelming. Whether it’s green tea, ginger tea, hibiscus (zobo), or peppermint, choose what works for your body and enjoy it without pressure.

Just a reminder: skip the extra sugar when you can, your blood sugar will thank you.

Progress looks different when you’re managing diabetes, and that’s okay.

Sometimes it’s not big wins, it’s small things like showing up, adjusting, trying again, and still choosing to care for yourself.

Life Beyond Diabetes is a space for those real days.
