📢 Class of 2026 – Results Day Information 🎓

We look forward to celebrating the achievements of our Year 11 students on Thursday 20 August 2026! 🌟

📍 Collect your results:
Results will be available from the school canteen between 9:30am and 10:30am.

💬 Representatives from local sixth form colleges will be available to offer advice and guidance.

📮 If you are unable to collect your results in person by 12pm, they will be posted to your home address.

🔹 Students may only collect their own results.
🔹 Parents or relatives collecting on a student's behalf must have signed permission.

We’re excited to have launched our Summer Adventure Passport and Summer Missions Adventure !

Students received information during assemblies and form time, including:
✅ A letter for home
✅ A Summer Missions flyer
✅ Their very own Summer Adventure Passport

These exciting initiatives are designed to keep students active, engaged and connected throughout the summer holidays by encouraging them to try new experiences, learn new skills and create positive memories.

🎯 Students who return their completed Summer Adventure Passport to the Celebration Station in September will earn achievement points and be entered into prize draws. Remember – there’s no pressure to complete every mission or every page; it’s all about taking part and having fun!

We’d love our families to support and encourage participation over the summer. Activities have been designed to be accessible, flexible and low-cost or free, so everyone can get involved in a way that suits them.

We can’t wait to see the adventures our students embark on this summer! ☀️🌟

As we reach the end of another fantastic school year, we'd like to remind parents, carers and pupils of our upcoming term dates.

🔴 Friday 17th July – All pupils are dismissed from 12:00pm for the summer break.

🌞 Summer Holidays: 18th July – 31st August

🔵 Tuesday 1st September – Teacher Training Day (school closed to pupils)

🏫 Wednesday 2nd September – All pupils return to school at their normal start time of 8.40am arrival.

We would like to thank our pupils, families and staff for their hard work and support throughout the year and wish everyone a safe, relaxing and enjoyable summer break!

Year 8 students have been exploring Noughts & Crosses by Malorie Blackman and were challenged to bring the story to life through a prop and set design homework project.

A special well done to Chrisstan and Jaxon (Y8), who produced some fantastic designs, demonstrating creativity, attention to detail and a thoughtful understanding of the novel’s themes and setting.

It’s wonderful to see students engaging with literature in such imaginative ways and using their artistic talents to enhance their learning. 👏✨

We've recently had a fantastic day welcoming our lovely Year 6 students for their transition visit! 📚✨

It was wonderful to meet everyone and see so much creativity during our visit to the school library, where students designed and made their own acrylic bookmarks. The finished designs looked amazing!

We hope you’ll enjoy using your new bookmarks this summer while taking part in the Summer Reading Challenge and completing the Reading Challenge Passport you received today.

Thank you to all the children for making today such a pleasure. We can’t wait to welcome you back in September! 💙📖

Last week, we were pleased to welcome back Byron from The JJ Effect to deliver powerful assemblies for our Year 9 and Year 10 students.

The assemblies encouraged students to reflect on the impact of their choices, the importance of positive relationships, and the courage it takes to make safe decisions. The messages extended beyond knife crime, prompting important conversations around peer pressure, exploitation, social media, and looking out for one another.

We are incredibly grateful for the honesty and passion Byron brought to Philips, helping to educate and empower our young people to make positive choices and keep themselves safe.

🌟 What an incredible day at our school! 🌟

We were recently delighted to welcome Wonderdome, where pupils enjoyed an unforgettable immersive learning experience inside their amazing mobile planetarium.

Our Year 7 pupils, along with our visiting Year 5 students from Higher Lane Primary School, took part in a series of fascinating shows throughout the day. From exploring the wonders of space to discovering the marvels of science, every session sparked curiosity, imagination, and excitement.

A huge thank you to the Wonderdome team for delivering such engaging and inspiring presentations, and to everyone who helped make the day such a success. We hope our visitors had a fantastic time and enjoyed experiencing life at our school!

What an unforgettable day! 🐍🕷️🦎

Our Year 7 & 8 students had an amazing time welcoming Curious Critters to school, alongside our Year 5 visitors from All Saints Primary School.

From fascinating bugs and incredible reptiles to a variety of exotic animals, everyone had the chance to get up close and learn about some truly amazing creatures. The excitement didn't stop there either – we even held our very own Bush Tucker Trial! 🌿🐛

Thank you to Curious Critters for such an engaging and memorable experience. It was a fantastic day of learning, laughter, and a few moments of bravery!
