Friday farm shop 🐄🐖
Today in wise owls to finish off our amazing week we took a trip to our very own farm shop where the children enjoyed picking their own fruit and vegetables from the stall and talking about the selection of fruit and vegetables available. 🥦🌽
We also learnt how to milk a cow and the children throughly enjoyed getting stuck in! We spoke about parts of a cow and learnt a new word ‘udder’. 🐄
We enjoyed counting the chicken eggs and seeing which chicken had laid more eggs!
We also practiced our writing skills as the children learnt to write their name on the name badges that they wore to work in the farm shop.
Then it was time for ice cream and the children were definitely very excited for this as they spoke about their favourite flavours and toppings! We’ve had a wonderful week in wise owls this week ✨⭐️💚

During our animals week we have been exploring lots of different animals and where they live! We explored desert animals, artic animals, jungle animals and sea animals!

🐍🦁🎤Music in the Jungle🎤🦁🐍
This week Busy Bee’s have enjoyed exploring animals from around the world! Today we enjoyed merging music and jungle and explored different songs about animals, we played the musical instruments and sang songs together as a group!!

🇦🇺🌎Around the world- Day 3: Australia !🐨

The children had lots of fun getting creative with Australian inspired dot paintings 🎨, making their own Australian animal masks🦘🦎 and learning lots of fun facts about Australia, it’s amazi wildlife and the country itself 🌿🌊
From kangaroos and koalas to colourful art work , it was a day full of creativity , learning and plenty of Aussie fun 🇦🇺

Today in wise owls we have been exploring our very own coffee shop! We have enjoyed lots of activities including a weighing and measuring activity weighing the coffee beans and seeing which cup weighs more! We enjoyed a water activity using lemon squeezers to squeeze the beans into the water. We enjoyed a fun writing activity writing our very own coffee list and choosing what coffees we wanted! The children enjoyed sharing all of these different experiences and playing together.
We then took a trip to the Good coffee Co coffee van across the road where the children ordered two coffees for our ladies, they enjoyed watching how he made them and paying with money and getting the change. We asked lots of questions including what milk is that? Where is the coffee from? And is it hot or cold?
These activities today have supported our children’s PSED- shared experiences, maths- finding longer shorter, heavier and lighter and C&L- using a range of tenses.
What a fun day we’ve had! ☕️ 🫘

🐯🦒🦓 Eyes, Nose and Mouth 🦓🦒🐯

To continue with our jungle week Little Lambs have been exploring some animal face sensory bags! The children could recognise and name the different animals they could see. We then had lots of fun finding the different facial characteristics hidden within the bags using our physical skills. The children were also able to find their own eyes nose and mouth too!

Go And Stop🚦

As a follow on from our bike race yesterday, we have done a similar activity but this is working on our listening and attention skills which is linking to our cohort. The children look closely as Adelle changed the signs without saying anything the children used these visual prompts and decide if they had to go or stop!💚

Traffic Light🚦

Today in Little Owls we have been exploring why it is so important to understand how traffic lights work. Firstly we identified what the different colours are on a traffic light. We then got creative by colouring the light in. We asked the children lots of opened enjoyed questions during this activity (video to follow) 💚
