📣Meet the Team! 🤝

Our second Introduction is for Jack Shea

Jack is a great personality around the office and an exceptional consultant

“Hi! I’m Jack, the Education Consultant for i-teachers across the East Midlands. I started at i-teachers as a placement student at university, working as a Sales & Compliance Officer. Whilst completing my postgraduate degree at Manchester Metropolitan University I continued to support the team as a Resourcer. I grew up in Germany and Cyprus, moving back to the UK in 2014! I am a huge Manchester United fan and get to as many games as I can throughout the season. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends with the odd true crime documentary every now and then!”

Over the next few weeks, we are going to be doing a series of blogs on our website and posting them on our social accounts to introduce our amazing team here at i-teacher! We are all passionate about making a difference within education and all have our own fantastic journey to share

📣Meet the Team! 🤝

Our first introduction if for the wonderful

Izzy is our Talent Development officer and has been with the i-teachers team since August 2020.

“Hi, I’m Izzy! I am i-teachers’ Talent Development Officer. I was born and bred in Manchester – and don’t think I will ever leave! After leaving college in 2016 I spent some time working in investments before deciding that I wanted to get myself a degree. Last year I graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with a 1st class honours degree in International Business Management (with placement). I’m a big fan of going out for brunch, going for long walks, eating Italian food, going to the gym, buying trainers, spending time with my friends and I LIVE for going on holiday to anywhere hot!”

Over the next few weeks, we are going to be doing a series of blogs on our website and posting them on our social accounts to introduce our amazing team here at i-teacher! We are all passionate about making a difference within education and all have our own fantastic journey to share.

I-Teachers Bowling Social🎳
Yesterday we took a work trip to Ten Pin Bowling at to celebrate Hollie Glossop accepting and starting her new job. It’s sad to see her go but we wish her all the best and we’re glad we could have one more work outing together.

Working in recruitment can be competitive and that certainly didn’t stop when we got to the bowling alley with everyone fighting for office bragging rights 😂 The bowling was fun, and we topped it off with some great food 😋

🪱World Book Day!📖

World Book Day has been running for over 25 years and is taking place again today, the 2nd March. It is an international and worldwide celebration that promotes the enjoyment of books and reading. Each year, World Book Day seeks to encourage everyone (young people in particular) to discover the pleasure of reading. Here is everything you need to know ahead of World Book Day 2023!

💭Did you know?
Did you know that ‘World Book Day’ are actually a charity? The charity changes lives through a love of books and reading.

🤷What is World Book Day?
World Book Day was created by UNESCO in 1995 as a worldwide celebration of books and reading. It is marked in over 100 countries across the globe. The first celebration in the UK took place in 1997

🧩Why is World Book Day so important?
The day is aimed at encouraging more children to develop a habit of reading for pleasure in order to improve the life chances that are available to them. The evidence base shows that there are 6 building elements which support a child to read for pleasure:
⚡Being read to regularly
⚡Having books at home and at school
⚡Having a choice in what to read
⚡Finding time to read
⚡Having trusted help to find a book
⚡Making reading FUN!

✨What is the theme for World Book Day 2023?
The theme for 2023 is making it ‘your’ World Book Day.

🤝How to take part in World Book Day 2023
🌟Dress up as your favourite character from your favourite book!
🌟Host a book-exchange to read with your friends, classmates, or colleagues to share your interests and get to know each other better (as well as hopefully reading a great new book!)
🌟Write a review of your favourite book
🌟Attend a book sale (over 4000 booksellers will also take part in World Book Day 2023, hosting events and activities!)
🌟Share a bit about your favourite book on social media
🌟Visit a bookshop – there’s never been a better time to support local booksellers.

🎁The £1 Book Selection
The World Book Day charity have recently shared a fantastic line up of £1 books for 2023 that children can choose for free with their £1 book token!

🏃Fit4Feb🏊

Today marks the end of the i-teachers Fit4Feb and the team should be super proud of themselves. As a collective we have travelled a total of 3128Km over the last 4 weeks! Which is the same as traveling from our🚗Manchester based office all the way to Valencia and back! 🌞 And we have currently raised £190 for our chosen charity, Childline.
